sorting records right now, agree, not boring, but not exactly thrilling

Spectrist, Thursday, 17 January 2013 04:31 (thirteen years ago)

Ok, cataloging records

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Thursday, 17 January 2013 04:31 (thirteen years ago)

Depends on how many times you've sorted the same batch of records imo

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Thursday, 17 January 2013 04:33 (thirteen years ago)

sort em right, don't have to sort em 1000x
at least if you remember how you sorted em

this customer is a jerk (La Lechera), Thursday, 17 January 2013 04:36 (thirteen years ago)

sorting can be interesting, it's the re-shelving after listening that's boring
cataloging is boring eg putting them on discogs to sell
packaging records properly you've sold is the boringest of all

Spectrist, Thursday, 17 January 2013 04:40 (thirteen years ago)

but it's all good

Spectrist, Thursday, 17 January 2013 04:41 (thirteen years ago)

train rides

i almost went with this and then i thought about all the times riding the train is neither boring nor pleasant and didnt but i think the right answer is 'looking out at the countryside from a moving train' or something close, same thing with car windows really, thats a dull but enjoyable thing, time and distance passing

watching crappy evening tv cuddled up on a sofa with your partner while the kids are asleep upstairs.

i have often said to friends, in this world of constant chaos, boredom is a welcome luxury.

Cats, 80% of the time. They just sit there, doing nothing and doing it in an intent, near-trance-like manner.
