I think I've done pretty good keeping my birthday, my home address, my government name off of there.

But then I wonder if Facebook's algorithms are advanced enough to catch that on a certain day last fall, everyone wished me a happy birthday. That my IP always comes back to this neighborhood. That once, an old buddy of mine used my government name in a reply. Could it tie all that information together?

I deactivated and reactivated my account three times last friday and now most people can see my site but a lot of close friends cant. I sent Facebook an email but they're not great at getting back. Any tips on how get it back running properly again? I dont want to have to delete my account.

it makes sense to me. they should keep trying to redesign it until they design something enjoyable to use

am totally cool with the option to only see updates from friends, i really do not care that much about what's going on in the life of meat loaf

i realised some years ago that it's just someone's job to redesign things. that's all they do, just change stuff. whether the changes are for the best nobody seems to mind (or, at best, can't tell how good they are until after the work's all done by which time there are lots of costs already incurred). see kde4, gnome3, windows ribbon etc etc.
