dangerous play imo?

Walker and gallas are a disaster together, but the former's much better with the cunt gone

"It hasn't helped having so many new players, even though I am one of them," said Green whose heroics earned Rangers their third straight draw under Redknapp. "I don't want to sound like a member of Ukip but with so many different nations, cultures and languages, it takes time to gel."

“You can look at it two ways. You can think ‘Oh my God, how the hell are we going to get out of this?’ or you go ‘let’s prove people wrong’. If we do manage to do it, what a record and achievement it would be when you’re sitting in your armchair in 15 or 20 years’ time. So we’ve got to be up for it. If you’re not up for it, don’t come here.”

uncle clint, tell us the one about not winning a game til neveruary again, oh go on uncle clint

I'm not sure what's more surprising - Saints being 15th, or the fact there's now three teams in the league with worse goal difference than us.

Also, watching MOTD back, I'm fairly sure Alan Shearer thinks Jay Rodriguez and Gaston Ramirez are the same person.

Bradford's team on Tuesday cost £7,500 to assemble, as opposed to Arsenal's £65m – Wenger started with eight of his first-choice players – and Jones was asked whether Arsenal should be embarrassed.

"Without a shadow of a doubt," he replied. "No disrespect to us and our lads but they should be beating Bradford City. But team spirit means a lot and it can take a team a long way. We have a massive team spirit and we showed it.

I seem to remember reading about the exact same thing happening about two or three years ago, but can't remember the teams involved. Or even which country it was in.

So: The Answers (or something), Friday, 14 December 2012 00:05 (thirteen years ago)

Health-of-the-game-oblique-health-of-the-club-watch: I'd been planning to try and get tickets for Arsenal v Man City in January. Iirc 3,000 tickets are kept back for red members, and they go on sale exactly one month in advance, so I logged in this morning. But it turns out I'd got the dates wrong - the game's on the 13th, not the 14th as I'd thought - and so they'd gone on sale yesterday.

Normally for a big game there's a window of an hour or two where, if you log in quickly, it's possible to secure a ticket for a big game. In this case not only are they still on sale the day after, but by a rough seat count there are around 2,300 tickets still available.

Turns out I can't go anyway, but I thought this might be of interest.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 14 December 2012 10:40 (thirteen years ago)

How much are the tickets? I don't actually want to go, but I'm guessing in the £50+ range.

Matt DC, Friday, 14 December 2012 10:41 (thirteen years ago)

I'm pretty sure this is a category A game, which I think makes it about £70-120. Most of the available tickets are high up behind the goal, so they'll be right at the low end of the range.

Ismael Klata, Friday, 14 December 2012 10:47 (thirteen years ago)

mido has played more club games for spurs than for any other team, the fuckin clown.

He averages about 20 games per club, if i've got the sums right

Is there anyone like him?

Mido was really good for us actually, when he was on loan at least. Then we signed him properly and he went to shit. Reminds me of someone.

Matt DC, Friday, 14 December 2012 10:59 (thirteen years ago)

berbatov spelled end for him, but he wasn't bad for us at all- easily in our top ten forwards of the decade, say, and sold for a lolprofit.

But his career is fuckin bonkers

here's one for Ronan

89 min: City are running down the clock in enemy territory. Silva whips a free kick into the area from the right. Newcastle bundle it out for a corner, which Krul claims easily. "I owe Peter Capaldi, or at least Malcolm Tucker, a huge debt of thanks," admits Dan Lucas. "Writing music reviews for an American magazine is far easier when you can use Tuckerisms such as 'as much use as a marzipan dildo' to put down a particularly bad record. Actually I say debt of thanks; it's probably more like a debt of money, isn't it?"

2-0! There's a chance Villa might get a point out of this.
