Since February I've flirted with this biology student on the intercampus shuttle, one of those youngsters infatuated with his sense of outrage (e.g. loudly explaining to a friend how a black guy praised his "cornfed ass" last weekend). Today he sat a row behind me. As we exited, the two of us going our separate ways, he called after me, "Allllfred...you're not saying goodbye?" I said goodbye and handed him a piece of notepaper on which I'd written my phone number and "Call or text me." I walked towards my building, leaving him there gaping.

I, on the other hand, keep attracting the attention of 19-20 year old girls on campus, apparently oblivious to my age (which, yeah, I'm told I do not look) or the ring on my finger. wait, are we talking about M1chael c0bb? he is, indeed, super-charming- I've met him at conferences and he's a lot of fun, it's really easy to just strike up a long and groovy conversation with him- i haven't read the "single" book yet but I remember him telling me about it when he was working on it, and his critique of the couple-form's commitment to a kind of deathrace about who is going to survive whom was really sharp and smart.

I've seeing my personal trainer 2x/week for a couple months, so I'm feeling motivated to take off some clothes.

i am eating well post-breakup, mostly because i live in my apartment and use my kitchen. no time for the gym, so i'm not 'in shape' per se but the relationship weight/stress-of-a-bad-relationship weight is slowly disappearing.

Going back to school in sept killed my workout schedule, and it probably shows. The stress of waiting to hear if I got into grad school for January ("any day now," they keep telling me) isn't helping either.

i've always been a fan of chunk, so i feel no stress at my incipient chunkiness.
