Hi qiqing!
― a funny thing happened on the way to the forum (flamboyant goon tie included), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 14:55 (thirteen years ago)
Yeah, I always thought it stained! But I kept asking people and everyone kept telling me that it shouldn't stain. But it does.
― goya cézanne (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 15:11 (thirteen years ago)
And I'm using a hybrid water/silicone one too
― goya cézanne (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 15:12 (thirteen years ago)
Boo silicone lube anyway. Try Boy Butter or Str8cam (I think it is called) lube.

so apparently spicy food doesn't agree with my medical regimen this week. I'll be goddamned if i'm going to eat kale 3-4x a week.
― saltwater incursion (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 15:30 (thirteen years ago)
I always use Maximus but it's hard to find in Philly in small bottles. Morbs, kale smoothies are easy and delicious.

One of the good inks about being in a long term relationship: you can buy lube in Costo-like proportions.

Middle-aged faggotry: Lube out, Immodium in.

um, LOL
Guys, do you have any good queer newsy/general interest blogs that you follow? I've been following Towleroad for years but these days it seems like 2/3 of the stories are either "Crazy Republican Says Something Stupid" (why is this news?) and "Watch This Video Of Hot Army Guys Lip-Syncing To The New Katy Perry Single" (no, thanks). Joe My God is mostly the same. I need something a little more substantial.
― goya cézanne (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 16:48 (thirteen years ago)
What could be more "general interest" than hot army guys?
― Bobby Ken Doll (Eric H.), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 16:49 (thirteen years ago)
short answer is "none." JoeMyGod lives in the Democratic Party's butt.
― saltwater incursion (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 16:52 (thirteen years ago)
He's also sort of reductive and bullyish
― goya cézanne (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 16:55 (thirteen years ago)
In my experience, Towle is basically the best, but I haven't looked very hard for gay news fixes.
― Bobby Ken Doll (Eric H.), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 16:56 (thirteen years ago)
I mean, granted, his targets are generally awful people, but it's still embarrassingly juvenile at times and I also don't see what purpose any of it serves when all of his readers are already on the same page. It's not like he's fostering some sort of dialogue or presenting thought-provoking pieces.
― goya cézanne (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 28 November 2012 16:56 (thirteen years ago)
It's all about the amen chorus / echo chamber.
I check Towle but more often Squarehippies, cuz gay is about skin now that the politics have been rendered almost meaningless.

Towle at least has occasional columns from Ari Waldman, who usually addresses complex topics in a clear and interesting way.

I followed Queerty for a while, then made the mistake of reading a racist-ass comment thread and decided it wasn't worth my blood pressure.

I was gonna mention Queerty earlier but didn't want to cause I figured it was lame, but now that Rev brought it up I can say that yeah I read Queerty sometimes, but I don't necessarily recommend it.
I find that the comment sections of most, if not all, sites are best avoided.

Since February I've flirted with this biology student on the intercampus shuttle, one of those youngsters infatuated with his sense of outrage (e.g. loudly explaining to a friend how a black guy praised his "cornfed ass" last weekend). Today he sat a row behind me. As we exited, the two of us going our separate ways, he called after me, "Allllfred...you're not saying goodbye?" I said goodbye and handed him a piece of notepaper on which I'd written my phone number and "Call or text me." I walked towards my building, leaving him there gaping.
