I doubt LJ is going to worry about what some random trolls in other countries he's never going to meet think or say about him when they come across this thread five years hence.

I would like to offer g®?Ð? and myself as floating heads of conscience. Which do you want, g®?Ð?, horns or wings?

Ed, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 08:13 (nineteen years ago)

louis's only option is to become very famous very quickly so that the ilx mentions are pushed into the lower reaches of the google rankings.

That one guy that quit, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 09:53 (nineteen years ago)

Drunken Cambridge students in homoerotic group hijinks non-shocker. This is a huge fuss over pretty much nothing.

Scik Mouthy, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:09 (nineteen years ago)

the whole thing was meant as a performance to talk about later

Oh yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. *sigh*

Much as Ed and Gr4dy would be most excellent floating heads of conscience, I'm kinda with Enr1que on this. :-D

And cheers Remy for some honest, forthright advice that doesn't resort to abuse (unlike a few people upthread who have hopefully now stopped reading).

unfished business, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:11 (nineteen years ago)

I don't know about g-symbol-y, but Ed's hair alone would make him worth having as a floating head of conscience. Plus he is hi-viz, so you would always be able to find the lock on your front door, even in the dark. I recommend him.

accentmonkey, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:14 (nineteen years ago)

yeah, N1ck, of course it was a huge fuss over nothing. I was merely answering M1ckey's question of how far it went. The rest was down to OMG LOL WTF ILXors. I can't be blamed for being excited enough to chronicle my first pull, although I may have erred in recording its circumstances.

The worst thing done here is the use of my name without Googleproofing. GRRRR.

unfished business, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:15 (nineteen years ago)

No. The worst thing is your denial.

kv_nol, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:17 (nineteen years ago)

i do wonder about how future politicians etc will get round this kind of thing because even if they don't deliberately post revealing things about their sex/drugs lives on the internets, it'll be much harder to keep stuff on the down-low. that said, the circles tonly blairs was moving in in the early 70s -- i guess there's a kind of islington omerta thing going on. political hacks just keep quiet about things in the uk, though how long for i don't know. recently with the shocking revelation that an oxford student smoked pot the columnists were all 'yeah-yeah, no-one cares'. the hell they don't!

That one guy that quit, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:17 (nineteen years ago)

By which I mean: Cop on.

kv_nol, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:18 (nineteen years ago)

(xpost obviously)

kv_nol, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:21 (nineteen years ago)

people like to use louis' real name because it's a distinctive name.

louis, consider changing your name to something more common and every-day..like..say...jon williams.

blueski, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:29 (nineteen years ago)

:-D

unfished business, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:36 (nineteen years ago)

Everything in human culture is a story to be told later. It's what human culture is. There are just more vehicles to tell stories via now.

Scik Mouthy, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:41 (nineteen years ago)

well, "publishing" rather than "telling" is the legal term isn't it?

That one guy that quit, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 10:42 (nineteen years ago)

What I thnk is weird/slightly uncouth perhaps is not what you did, but how you chose to tell everyone. You said Mickey asked you so you told him. Did you really have to go into all that detail? Could you not just have said "yeah I met this girl and blokes and on a dare we.. heh heh... got up to some crazy shit".

If someone at work asks you what you got up to with your ladtfriend on the weekend are you going to go into gynaecological detail about the heavenly visage of the folds of her womanly flower?

Trayce, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:25 (nineteen years ago)

Cuz like, that might be slightly fucking awesome actually.

Trayce, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:25 (nineteen years ago)

kenan is always pulling that kind of shit.

That one guy that quit, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:26 (nineteen years ago)

Thats a good point.

Trayce, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:28 (nineteen years ago)

music crit equivalent to reactions on this thread thus far: why couldn't iggy make a dignified, acoustic record with rick rubin and tom petty's heartbreakers about his twilight years instead of howling about his dick turning into a tree (logical conclusion: why couldn't iggy be james taylor to begin with)?

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:29 (nineteen years ago)

Marcello, I salute you.

Ed, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:31 (nineteen years ago)

LJ is more Brett A than Iggy P

blueski, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:32 (nineteen years ago)

More Brian M than both of them.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:34 (nineteen years ago)

(And that's Molko, not May)

Matt DC, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:34 (nineteen years ago)

ha ha

blueski, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:36 (nineteen years ago)

Just as well - Brian May's likely to give you a stern reprimand on his riveting Soapbox.

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 13 March 2007 11:49 (nineteen years ago)

Ed- I dont understand why you nominated me.

I'm flattered, but i really dont want to be floating anywhere near LJ while he's still in college.

haha, PP you missed this one, huh?

g®▲Ðұ, Monday, 26 March 2007 02:59 (nineteen years ago)

All last week, I'd see this thread and think, "Aw, look. They're doing one of those hello-i-love-you threads." Since I've heard that girl-on-the-ferry line from Citizen Kane about a thousand times already, I figured I'd stick with the Negro Bottle-Opener thread.

Pleasant Plains, Monday, 26 March 2007 03:09 (nineteen years ago)

^^^ hahahhahaa

I ran into my crush while I was out on Friday night. We talked for hours, it was awesome!

Noise bored: so much to answer for.

forksclovetofu, Monday, 26 March 2007 04:45 (nineteen years ago)

That reminds me, I saw a girl at the pub the other week wearing a sticker that said "I LOVE WANK".

Hard like armour, Monday, 26 March 2007 04:58 (nineteen years ago)

Gah, I was hoping the Louis grody sitch talk had subsided into the skipping messages hyperlink by this point and I could tell everybody how trumpet girl came back over without that guy (whose douchyness isn't unseen by her, awesome) and we made beautiful music and beer drinkenings together, and when she was leaving I think we tried to kiss but then there was this horrible animal dying noise and then we giggled and the kiss moment was ruined, LOL better luck next time.

nickalicious

Awesome - I wanted to know how this turned out.

There have been much worse things on ILx than Louis' story. It's his choice to post what he does. Let him be.

Anna, Monday, 26 March 2007 12:46 (nineteen years ago)

Too late.

StanM, Monday, 26 March 2007 12:54 (nineteen years ago)

:/

crushes:

rrrobyn, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:04 (nineteen years ago)

it is a confusing time of year for crushes; they are everywhere, and some make little sense

rrrobyn, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:05 (nineteen years ago)

Those aren't real crushes, that is just Spring.

Masonic Boom, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:06 (nineteen years ago)

Louis Jagger: Krush Kill Destroy

Dom Passantino, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:11 (nineteen years ago)

My crushlife restarted this week when I watched thursday night's Cold Case. Mmmmmmm...Lily Rush. Crushes are GRATE (except when you meet one for real. Cue splutteriness).

peteR, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:15 (nineteen years ago)

Jesus, that's harsh. Poor Louis.

Anna, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:31 (nineteen years ago)

crushes are okay as long as they don't affect your ability to intercourse with other people with whom you have a lesser crush.

oh man.

ken c, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:47 (nineteen years ago)

Dear black fatigue jacket and shaved head who got on my train and works in the building next to me,

Let's take the subway together sometime.

Best regards,

Laurel, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:50 (nineteen years ago)

"intercourse" and "crushes" are oxymorons.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 26 March 2007 13:50 (nineteen years ago)

Dear Girlie who is the older sister of someone I used to work with but probably doesn't remember me and who I saw shopping in Sainsburys with her parents and has somehow blossomed into something absolutely adorable since the last time I saw her - Yes I was making eyes at you, and yes if you did smile back then the only reason I gulped and ran out the shop was because I didn't know what else to do.

the next grozart, Monday, 26 March 2007 15:19 (nineteen years ago)

There's a thread here where we try and find one for CJ. Perhaps you could take some inspiration from that (though it's a bit full of rugby players)?
