Say something nice about another ILXor

I've been waiting for someone to think of me when they pick up some sweetened condensed milk but it has yet to happen afaik.

i don't buy sweetened condensed milk very often, but i have thought of you while passing through that aisle, if that helps

whenever I listen to June tabor or Shirley Collins I remember la lechera's impeccable taste in music

hah i thought of la lechera just yesterday when i saw a second-hand copy of The Wicker Tree on DVD

I thought of LL when I was watching Capturing the Friedmans & Debbie Nathan started talking baout things

la lechera drove out of her way to jump-start my car this past weekend, it was very very awesome. and she is cool in general, even without jump-starting my car. i hope to meet jon/via/chi someday.

I often enjoy reading posts by amateurist, mh and schlump. james morrison, alfred, aimless and scott seward are always interesting in ilb. wld hang with enbb, dog latin, homosexual ii, la lechera, carl agatha and jesse. love latter pair in annoying co-worker thread. p sure i'm forgetting mostly everyone but i'm wary of being sycophantic/disingenuously equitable. I like a lot of other people on here, too

trayce also funny and relatable in co-worker thread. jordan s makes me lol, elvis telecom's posts are often knowledgeable and interesting. gd there are too many of you

anything milton parker or jon lewis endorse immediately goes to the to-listen pile

I'm always fascinated by the fact that we never know where Posterity will come a-knocking.

Picture a quiet street in the north of England, sometime in the mid- 80s. Posterity, who looks a lot like The Reaper but carries a butterfly net instead of a scythe, knocks on the door of a detached house.

Paddy McAloon opens it. 'I am Posterity, and I've come for the pop of the 80s!' says Posterity in a grand voice.

'Ah, I've been expecting you,' says Paddy, and drops into the net a couple of pristine vinyl copies of Prefab Sprout's 'Swoon' and 'Steve McQueen'.

Posterity flings them aside angrily and marches into the lounge, where Paddy's 8 year old nephew is playing Arkanoid, filling the room with flurries of scuzzy blippy sound. Posterity grabs an armful of datasettes.

'Oi!' chorus Paddy and his nephew, 'that's not the pop of the 80s!'

'It is now,' cackles Posterity. Snubbing Paddy's 1000cc Triumph, he makes his escape on a poorly-pixelated BMX bike.
