I like the bao at TJs.

It's hard for me to justify buying Asian foodstuffs at TJ's when I'm a 5-10 minute bike ride from about 5 huge Asian supermarkets

the mochi ice cream at TJ is about a dollar cheaper than most asian supermarkets.

never had it but wei chaun DUMPLINGS! are the same price as/cheaper than TJ's and also better

Texture of bao is pretty bad. I eat them, but I keep each bite off my molars until I've chewed past the springiness.

I peel mochi and enjoy the ice cream.

i love the frozen chicken Gorgonzola, but it's a 2-serving (or even three) package.

Agreed - it's too much, but I like it as a lunch option. Also, relatively low carb.

I hauled a few different frozens after work - chicken verde burritos, japanese fried rice, palak paneer and tikka masala...weee I'm so excited to eat not-boring lunch now

Their tamales are pretty solid.

My kids love their Ritz crackers so much that they don't even know Ritz crackers exits. They just call them all Golden Rounds.

TJs asian foodstuffs are pretty underwhelming all-in-all. what is not underwhelming is the great deal on smoked salmon (though it has gone up a little in the past month). Also goat creamy cheese is a healthy lo-cal thing to put on toast.

chicken verde burrito otm - had it for lunch today. even with the crappy microwave doing a pisspoor job of cooking it evenly, it was p tasty. or maybe it was just that I was so hungry I could have happily eaten my hand.

Trader Dahmer's Frozen Human Hand is also a pretty good bargain

Awesome sandwich: split a small baguette, butter one side, spread fig butter on the other, put prosciutto di parma in the middle. Arugula optional.

new product: pecan pie ice cream tastes exactly how it sounds.

I wish they had more snacks in the "just a handful" format (they have two of their trail mixes and plain almonds) -- as a dude who can't not eat as much as you put in front of me, this is very helpful.

mmm japanese stirfry is frighteningly good. like, I could eat the whole bag in one go kinda good.

i really like the japanese fried rice.

I can attest that the Colombian Supremo coffee is sweet, like caramel. It may be the lightest, least oily coffee sold by Trader Joe's.

I am waiting for the tea that is sold in winter with lemurs on the package.

I misread that as 'tea that is sold in winter by lemurs' and was all !!!

The background color is light blue and is perfectly right for a cold numb milky winter palliative beverage.

the TJ's colombian supremo was the best coffee I found there, but it's nowhere near as good as the considerably cheaper kirkland colombian supremo at costco

think i'm in love with the morningstar farms tomato & basil pizza burger (they have them in the freezer section). i just crisped up a few in the cast-iron and they were really flavorful and had a good texture.

I am abt to go to Trader Joe's! I am so excited!! What should I get??
