a lob over the top from thirty yards out beats our centre halves all ends up. shite.

threat of the author (darraghmac), Sunday, 11 November 2012 15:19 (thirteen years ago)

that'll be it. nothing on-the-ball today, set up really badly to make anything happen. off-the-ball was well organised, but vertonghen's lack of tracking and the cb's inability to deal with even rudimentary movement left city far too much joy.

could have been more.

threat of the author (darraghmac), Sunday, 11 November 2012 15:26 (thirteen years ago)

On the one hand LFC could have used any extra goal threat we could get this season, on the other going by this season's performances alone I'm quite relieved we missed out on Gylfi and Clint.

Not sure what will be more laughable, Carra dealing with the movement of Mata et al or Terry coping with Suarez.

Chelsea may have hoped the meeting with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge could have given them the chance to regain top spot in the Premier League when Manchester United trailed 2-0 at Aston Villa - but their dramatic win leaves Roberto di Matteo's side with the task of closing a four-point gap.

I'm looking forward to this, I reckon we'll do them.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 11 November 2012 15:35 (thirteen years ago)

Eh what, Carra's playing? Also, this is the one game where I really wish we had Carroll.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 11 November 2012 15:36 (thirteen years ago)

He looked ready for the knacker's yard at half time in the West Ham Newcastle game

Number None, Sunday, 11 November 2012 15:55 (thirteen years ago)

Big game player though, you can't expect him to perform against last year's fifth-placed outfit.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 11 November 2012 16:02 (thirteen years ago)

no you've read that wrong, he's a big, game, player

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 11 November 2012 17:56 (thirteen years ago)

what a horrible game of football

Number None, Sunday, 11 November 2012 17:58 (thirteen years ago)

lfc's might be the most capital-t transitional year i've ever seen in fitba. play the kids, stay out of relegation, hand in a vague semblance of a progress report by the last month of the season and brendan's cushty p much. prep for next summer's transfers, which will be definitive

r|t|c, Sunday, 11 November 2012 18:04 (thirteen years ago)

Only caught the post-match but the Squares push for the goal is a shocker

passive-aggressive display name (aldo), Sunday, 11 November 2012 18:19 (thirteen years ago)

That looks like how it's going to be, January window pending. Now 'til Easter inching towards 40 points isn't what I was hoping for this year if I'm honest.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 11 November 2012 18:24 (thirteen years ago)

Luis Suarez · 5 minutes ago via mobile ·
Hugs to Terry, I hope it's nothing serious.

jose enrique had a great game today, his best so far this season. another striker is still a priority obviously, i dont know if theo walcott is the answer to that dilemma though.

Michael B Higgins (Michael B), Sunday, 11 November 2012 21:35 (thirteen years ago)

luis's teammates not much into celebrating.

fun facts about human waste (Merdeyeux), Sunday, 11 November 2012 21:59 (thirteen years ago)

luis himself going from :D to D: to :D.

It doesn't come up much

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 11 November 2012 22:01 (thirteen years ago)

also if he will celebrate in the final third, obviously he's gonna be on his own

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 11 November 2012 22:04 (thirteen years ago)

ah right, so Carroll is a defender now. Thanks Hansen

Number None, Sunday, 11 November 2012 23:19 (thirteen years ago)

Howard Webb making the interception that led to the corner for Chelsea's goal pissed me off for a good ten minutes. Redeemed himself with allowing Suarez foul for the equaliser. First half was home game vs Arsenal level of bad.

pandemic, Monday, 12 November 2012 11:05 (thirteen years ago)

lol yeah webb made like 4 or 5 crucial interceptions yday, motm imo

r|t|c, Monday, 12 November 2012 12:20 (thirteen years ago)

"I do believe in myself. That's one thing I've always had," he said. "Looking at someone like Didier Drogba, for me, he's always said to me: 'Studge, it doesn't really matter about anything as long as you believe in yourself.' And that's my main strength.

Yah, unless he, I dunno, went on strike to demand to leave it's p much impossible for LFC to justify selling the best player they have by an incredible margin.

Fulham have won the race to sign Irish teenage sensation Noe Baba ahead of competition from Manchester United, Sunderland and Celtic.

The 16-year-old defender opted for the London club after being convinced their recruitment and academy set-up would give him a better platform to progress.

United headed a list of 16 clubs chasing the Cameroon-born kid who plays for Castlebar Celtic in County Mayo, but the presence of Fulham's Malcolm Elias, Steve Wigley, Huw Jennings and Stewart Henderson swayed his mind.
