What he meant to say is that they're still doing the Dwight spin-off, just without Dwight. Will be all of the newly-cast actors playing Dwight's family, wondering where Dwight is and what Dwight is doing.

BTW I feel for that cast. A friend of mine is on a show that was supposed to be on ABC Family this fall but which was dropped right before it debuted and is airing on some online video site instead.

Come Into My Layer (Old Lunch), Monday, 29 October 2012 22:22 (thirteen years ago)

The Neighbors gets a full season order. What a weird day.

Gukbe, Monday, 29 October 2012 23:49 (thirteen years ago)

Jesus. Does ABC not realize that they could probably just let the station go dark before Modern Family and get the same ratings without spending any money?

Come Into My Layer (Old Lunch), Monday, 29 October 2012 23:58 (thirteen years ago)

This week's Nashville: I was sure last week Juliette had lifted that nail polish at the drug store to work some publicity angle, but as this week's episode went on I kept thinking "no, she's not THAT stupid" and she'd get even stupider. Nice button on the real reason why, though.

OH TEDDY

Johnny Fever, Friday, 2 November 2012 23:34 (thirteen years ago)

Probably belongsin its own thread, but eek spoilers, so, Homeland S2 any cop?

Leeezzarina Sbarro (Leee), Saturday, 3 November 2012 01:25 (thirteen years ago)

It's been excellent so far. An improvement on season one.

Clay, Saturday, 3 November 2012 01:28 (thirteen years ago)

i'm on the fence about whether i agree w/ that but it's definitely worth watching if you liked the first season at all

some dude, Saturday, 3 November 2012 01:39 (thirteen years ago)

It's got big brass balls but that means that I have no confidence in it whatsoever from week to week.

Gukbe, Saturday, 3 November 2012 01:44 (thirteen years ago)

yeah it's very flawed in ways that have been outlined on the thread but bottom line is it's ballsy and watchable

some dude, Saturday, 3 November 2012 01:51 (thirteen years ago)

I basically watch the show for the things it excels at: tension, bravura acting, and omg what's going to happen next. if you can hand wave away the sketchy stuff on the margins (iffy plot choices mostly) it's a very solid show.

Clay, Saturday, 3 November 2012 01:54 (thirteen years ago)

There seems to be one or two stupid moments/plot points in every episode that keep the show from being totally awesome (like last week's episode, which was massively engrossing for a long stretch of time until one of the characters went batshit out of nowhere). It's mostly about the actors for me, though, and it still definitely delivers on that front.

Come Into My Layer (Old Lunch), Saturday, 3 November 2012 02:06 (thirteen years ago)

Now am an official Ben And Kate fan. It's got charm.

45 DOWN: "NYPD Blue" actor ____ Morales (R Baez), Tuesday, 6 November 2012 00:57 (thirteen years ago)

it's cute! ben's funny. the australian, kate's friend, i didn't expect anything from her but she's pretty consistently hilarious.

I loves you, PORGI (DJP), Wednesday, 7 November 2012 19:51 (thirteen years ago)

wut? I just read about this new FX show with Keri Russell. She's a KGB spy in 1981 deep undercover as an American. SOLD.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 7 November 2012 20:29 (thirteen years ago)

yeah i'm psyched about that. created by an ex-CIA guy who wrote for Damages, and exec produced by the creator of Justified.

Citizen Ship (some dude), Wednesday, 7 November 2012 21:30 (thirteen years ago)

suburgatory ending this week insane!

Mordy, Thursday, 8 November 2012 03:39 (thirteen years ago)

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Thursday, 8 November 2012 16:48 (thirteen years ago)

Meanwhile Revenge is still batshit crazy, and Emily was a motherfucking boss tonight.

pandemic, Monday, 12 November 2012 13:03 (thirteen years ago)

Last night's Revenge was one of the best of the series. Pretty much non-stop OH DAMN from beginning to end.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 12 November 2012 15:08 (thirteen years ago)

^^that was ridiculous. and more proof that they really need to kill off Charlotte/Declan/Jack/the bar.

also, this is more about last week's episode but motherfucking lol @ Emily owning a cold storage room where she keeps all her dead bodies, just in case she needs them later.

Roz, Monday, 12 November 2012 18:24 (thirteen years ago)

i did lol that the nefarious bar co-owner was so charmed by jack and declan that he needed ANOTHER nefarious guy to remind him he was supposed to be evil

sad faces at Terror Castle (reddening), Monday, 12 November 2012 20:09 (thirteen years ago)

so the hero of that show has murdered multiple people? huh, guess it's not quite as tame as i gathered from the first couple episodes i watched before abandoning it

my hands tra cer (some dude), Monday, 12 November 2012 20:10 (thirteen years ago)

oh hahahahahahahaha

I loves you, PORGI (DJP), Monday, 12 November 2012 20:11 (thirteen years ago)

LAST RESORT IS STILL ON

and good

j., Monday, 12 November 2012 20:11 (thirteen years ago)

I am 2 weeks behind on all my shows but SO happy that Last Resort is still recording each week

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Monday, 12 November 2012 21:24 (thirteen years ago)

so the hero of that show has murdered multiple people?

Nope, not a one. But she does set up circumstances where people she needs dead actually die.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 12 November 2012 21:25 (thirteen years ago)

Damn. Is Revenge the secret follow-up to Profit that I've always wanted?

Nhex, Monday, 12 November 2012 21:39 (thirteen years ago)

oh cool zzzzzz

my hands tra cer (some dude), Monday, 12 November 2012 21:52 (thirteen years ago)

yeah most of the murders have come from one her sensei's henchmen so far right?

balls, Monday, 12 November 2012 21:58 (thirteen years ago)

PLEASE start a revenge thread so i can read this thread without spoilers PLEASE

congratulations (n/a), Monday, 12 November 2012 21:59 (thirteen years ago)

i want to talk about revenge because it's SO DUMB but i keep watching it, it is one of the dumbest tv shows i've ever seen. but i can't talk about it because i'm still in s1 and don't want spoilers.

congratulations (n/a), Monday, 12 November 2012 21:59 (thirteen years ago)

Revenge has managed to make abject stupidity and wholesale ludicrousness into assets

I loves you, PORGI (DJP), Monday, 12 November 2012 22:04 (thirteen years ago)

Like, I know it's super dumb a lot of the time but just watching Emily manipulate everyone around her down lanes of self-destruction is amazingly entertaining

I loves you, PORGI (DJP), Monday, 12 November 2012 22:05 (thirteen years ago)

i know we aren't supposed to believe in guilty pleasures anymore in 2012 but that's totally what it is

congratulations (n/a), Monday, 12 November 2012 22:06 (thirteen years ago)

I'm not totally caught up on season 2 yet but I just hit a wholly horrifying event this weekend that I refuse to spoil for you because, even though I saw it coming, it was still shocking

I loves you, PORGI (DJP), Monday, 12 November 2012 22:08 (thirteen years ago)

also its on-the-cheap portrayal of the billionaire lifestyle is so charmingly awful, the graysons live in the hamptons equivalent of downton abbey and yet daniel sleeps in the poolhouse.

sad faces at Terror Castle (reddening), Monday, 12 November 2012 22:10 (thirteen years ago)

ABC's primetime soap REVENGE: S1/S2 discussion herein

Johnny Fever, Monday, 12 November 2012 22:15 (thirteen years ago)

there is a massive spoiler right in the beginning of that thread btw

I loves you, PORGI (DJP), Monday, 12 November 2012 22:16 (thirteen years ago)

tbf, that spoiler is at least three episodes old...what's the allowable timeframe for such behavior?

Johnny Fever, Monday, 12 November 2012 22:18 (thirteen years ago)

generally speaking, when the person worrying about spoilers says "btw I'm only halfway through season 1" you should probably avoid directly posting major things that happen in season 2, or at least make it clearer in the thread title that you plan to spoil the shit out of season 2
