i read it once, and stopped 100 pages from the end, and I never do that. i did read the last few pages--great ending.

I did the same thing with "Carpenter's Gothic." I didn't finish The Recognitions either, though I only got about halfway through before getting sick of it. I am excited about the day when I can read part of JR and dismiss it.
