There was a thread recently with a Ned Raggett post recently about wanting to avoid feeling like a curmudgeon and keep up with the new, but also kind of feeling like a curmudgeon at the same time.

Searching through the DePaul University library's LP collection in the late nineties, I turned up this extended version of one of the most famous songs in 5/4 time, Dave Brubeck's "Take Five".
While the original studio version is the gold standard, this goes to all kinds of amazing places with stretched-out exploration of the five feel. This is an epic live take. Have a good 5/4
