Shall we anticipate the FIFTH SEASON of the AMC series "Breaking Bad"? I think I may.

Yeah, the last few episodes of Season 3, from Hank's battle with the twins onwards, is the most tension-filled TV I've ever seen.

I still haven't found another moment as shocking as Jane's death... It's the fulcrum of Walt's moral arc.

it's possibly cos i've watched the first four series over the space of just a couple of months, so I might be desensitised to certain bits. The Tuco bit, especially the line "We tried to poison you because you are an insane degenerate piece of filth and you deserve to die" was the first time I physically punched the air and whooped.

i vehemently agree. it could only go down after that, and again, that's not even to say it's not still brilliant tv. it was week after week of them hammering the audience with brilliance.

yeah i had been watching the show before that and loving it and praising it but the last few eps of season 3 were when i felt the need to start calling up friends after finishing an episode and just start shouting 'OMFG YOU NEED TO WATCH BREAKING BAD'. i'm not someone who would ever call breaking bad the best tv drama of all time etc (though obv it'd be in the conversation), but that level of tension is something none of its peers have approached imo, nevermind w/ such regularity.

I guess most people he kils do deserve to die from a "live by teh sword die by the sword worldview"

I was stunned when he ran over the dudes in his aztec and shot the one to make sure he was dead - it was like "thats it, I'm bad"

so i've been rewatching old seasons and that part where badger gets busted? and they go kidnap saul goodman? to, like, fix it for them? and he's like, "so, you want him shived then?" and jesse's like "NO!" and walt's like "well, hold on, how does that work" and jesse's like. "i said, NO, no shiving badger yo" and walt sighs and says "ok, no shiving" and saul comes up with the guy who'll go to prison for $30000 and he tells they guys and jesse's like "great let's do this" and sauls like "you're sure? cause just shiving the guy would be a lot cheaper" and walt like looks at jesse out of the corner of his eye, and jesse's like "yo, i said we're not shiving badger" and walt just gets this kinda wistful look, sighs, and says "ok, let's do it the other way" but he looks like he's actually kinda more into the shiving-the-guy-in-prison-and-getting-it-over-with deal?

that shit was kinda comic relief the first time, but watching it now it's hella creepy, yo
