i remember hearing these rumours in the 90s when my then-gf was a med student in leeds.

The rumours have been around for ages - Irvine Welsh wrote a story about a corpse-fucking DJ and TV star called Freddy Royle in the mid-90s - but as far as I know they've never been mentioned in the media properly until now (very minor reports at end of last week, but nothign like Gamba on national radio at half past 8 in the morning).

"This is not just the BBC this is history, this is a man who conned an entire society," Gambaccini added.

There's nothing anyone can say about Jimmy Savile that will be considered out-of-hand. As before, the only people that know the truth are his victime, and anyone in the room with 'them'...
