Bensky on Twitter: "What's wrong with Edin Dzeko? Isn't he tired of scoring late goals?"
― Nilmar Honorato da Silva, Saturday, 20 October 2012 16:24 (thirteen years ago)
I'm considering putting together a swoop for Bensky. He's raw, but I think we could develop him.

Bensky only tweets when he's winning. Question Mark over character imo.
― Ismael Klata, Saturday, 20 October 2012 18:02 (thirteen years ago)
you know that when the most inspirational arsenal players of the game are serge gnabry and gervinho it has been a bad game. hoolahan and holt have looked better than anyone in red.
― a hoy hoy, Saturday, 20 October 2012 18:21 (thirteen years ago)
big grant big holt's attempt at a dainty chip, very amusing.
― Perfect Chicken Forever (Merdeyeux), Saturday, 20 October 2012 22:33 (thirteen years ago)
Sterling delivered a commanding performance. His attacking play was rapier sharp, his finishing ruthless and his interplay with Luis Suarez and willingness to take up more central positions gave Liverpool a cutting edge they too often lacked.
amazingly, not nult.

Kinda used to Chelsea running away with things at the start of a season, they tend to fuck it up.
Broadly speaking, Premiership defenders haven't yet worked out how to deal with Oscar-Hazard-Mata, suspect they won't last undefeated for much longer.
Still really angry with Gallas for contriving to give the ball to a Chelsea goalscorer twice in one match, but otherwise Chelsea didn't look that great weirdly.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 20 October 2012 23:48 (thirteen years ago)
tbf he gave the ball to them several times, they only scored twice. he's a shambles. had a few decent moments today but every ball into the box he's either making poor, poor contact or (worse) he's leaving a fullback to deal with- walker has carried the can for him a few times already this season in this fashion.
man, sigurdsson today. eesh. three or four times in a row today in the second half vertonghen or sandro were looking for an out ball, and he ran behind chelsea players, it was worse than disappearing it was straight up hiding. and even when he was running to get on to passes he fucked it up badly more often that not. he's not in sync with the passing or movement and i don't see where he's going to fit in.

I'm likely not going to be able to watch, but fyi there's the potential title-decider in Brazil kicking off in about half-an-hour. Ronaldinho's Atletico Mineiro taking on leaders Fluminense.
― Ismael Klata, Sunday, 21 October 2012 17:36 (thirteen years ago)
Fluminense featuring Deco, Fred late of Olympique Lyon, and the excellently named defender Gum.
― boxall, Sunday, 21 October 2012 17:39 (thirteen years ago)
Gum, superb! I reckon my life would improve enormously if I could pull off a one-word professional pseudonym.

haha yeah this (and she) was hella cute
game was okay, draw a fair result not because everton deserved something but more to illustrate our enduring lack of concrete penetration despite nice approach play. attacking unit is flawed, defensive unit the unforgivable lapses speak for themselves
progress of sorts i guess but cannot lay claim to anything conclusive. and this is the frustrating thing, the flickers of excellence that literally no one on earth (certainly not anyone on the coaching staff) besides father time knows how to properly articulate

btw can #0 or nbs remind me, what does a good parky look like? cos i see a likeable player who puts the work in and doesnt hide but... what does he bring to the table ideally exactly
― r|t|c, Sunday, 21 October 2012 19:49 (thirteen years ago)
It's all gonna be much sweeter when Nigel and the boys rebound and prove each and every one of them wrong and get our goals conceded average below three a game. Sunshine after the rain. Starting... at home to Spurs. Ah.
― William Bloody Swygart, Sunday, 21 October 2012 23:03 (thirteen years ago)
hey dudes, can someone who knows about this sort of thing explain why newcastle are so fucking bad at defending set pieces

no, that's Parky pretty much. He's been in decline for a couple of seasons too. I see you're playing Arsenal next weekend though so he might turn up for that

typical late-period Fergie player in other words
― rhino what boys like (Noodle Vague), Monday, 22 October 2012 13:12 (thirteen years ago)
He's not used to playing football before March.
― Matt DC, Monday, 22 October 2012 13:19 (thirteen years ago)
Such an odd player, Fergie would pretty much keep him on the bench for an entire season and then start him for seemingly every single game at the business end of the season.
― Matt DC, Monday, 22 October 2012 13:21 (thirteen years ago)
how many of the current Man U squad cd be covered by likeable player who puts the work in and doesnt hide but... what does he bring to the table ideally exactly? then they wilt when transplanted away from the magical hairdryer that has nurtured their effectiveness
