-practice
-wait for christian marching band drummer to leave (was a badass drummer fyi)
-drink soco and smoke blinding amounts of weed
-listen to in the court of the crimson king at eyebleeding volumes on the pa
-go to perkins and drink pots of coffee, eat cajun fries, and smoke until somebody threw up somewhere
-repeat twice a week

our other big focus was doing blastbeat speed covers of beatles songs. because our singer was a hippie and i wanted to fucking rock

-figure out what ridiculous configuration of equipment is workable today
-play a few songs
-watch that thing you do! and eat chips

if there was a god, the internet would have a video of me grumpily covering "you really got me" at a talent show with that bass, a blue wool gold nautical buttoned trenchcoat and a jesus jones hat with a flipped brim as was the style of the day, while our stand in lead singer rocked out into a wireless mic that he had forgotten to turn on.

added bonus: after that shitshow, i proceeded to get second place for a quartet with DJP that sang "Silhouettes" and take first place for doing a duet on "Arms Of Orion", a fine song from the much beloved Prince album "The Batman Soundtrack"

haters gonna hate

I was in marching band for 5 years and played countless equally bad ideas during halftime shows, it's almost like being invulnerable to humiliation is my superpower now.

There was the year our show was all songs from Aladdin the movie, for instance.

celebrated by buying a bunch of pizza hut and then smoking a bunch of weed and shotgunning black labels with my friend p3rry while listening to youth of today until he dropped a roach into his lap and careened into a ditch and we had to call his dad.
