Christ, give me the button that brings ILX up to the general awareness of crepey behaviour that xkcd has, and watch me mash that fucker.

Re: Megan - this should be taken in the context of the strip at that point is overly-elaborate leadups to eg "your mom" jokes.

i was walking down the street the other day and i saw a group of teenage orthodox jews dressed in their pseudo-sharp suits and fedoras, and briefly had the idea to make an 'orthodox jew or brony?' tumblr. i think i'm an anti-semite.

Perfect Chicken Forever (Merdeyeux), Wednesday, 3 October 2012 00:14 (thirteen years ago)

one thing i really, really don't get about some members of the generation raised on the internet is the weird insistence that nothing is off limits or crosses and line and if you think there is, the problem is with you MAAAAAAAAN

this wasn't even a big trend really until like...maybe 5 years ago? i'm curious where it originated, i didn't notice it much until 4chan became a prominent site

ciderpress, Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:36 (thirteen years ago)

yeah, i've definitely noticed it more and more in that same time too. its just, weird. to say the least.

HAPPY BDAY TOOTS (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:40 (thirteen years ago)

feel like theres going to be a strong backlash from the same generation re: that attitude. but its just a feel

(♥___♥) (roxymuzak), Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:41 (thirteen years ago)

This nation will elect a 4channer as president one day, mark my words.

pplains, Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:42 (thirteen years ago)

its just that funny post hippie libertarianism where individual freedom to do whatever, usually be an asshole or be into gross sex shit, is the Only Value

max, Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:43 (thirteen years ago)

namaste, conde nast

Post what jailbait thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law

there is no dana, only (goole), Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:45 (thirteen years ago)

i think the grossest exampe of this mentality was when i followed some weird rabbit-hole that started on some guy's last.fm profile and ended up linking to this page of really gross gifs of dudes in public walking up to random, unsuspecting women and ejaculating in their hair. the comments were all like, "i am going to do this someday" and "lol dumb slut" type stuff. i'm sure part of it was fantasy life wish fulfillment bullshit in the minds of corruptible younger minds, but i like kept scrolling down hoping for some beacon of light that was like "THIS IS WRONG" but it never showed up and only got more and more depressing.

HAPPY BDAY TOOTS (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:47 (thirteen years ago)

the logic, the beautiful logic of those guys is amazing.
posting public pics of girls = legal = morally noble and needs protecting
posting public details of creeper = illegal violation of constitional right to anonymity = vilest thing in history

xp jfc

stet, Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:49 (thirteen years ago)

pretty much every upvoted comment on that /r/politics thread is about how stupid it is to take stand defending the creepshots guy. but they also start with caveats that gawker sucks

(♥___♥) (roxymuzak), Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:55 (thirteen years ago)

so is adrian going to out this dude or what

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 11 October 2012 15:58 (thirteen years ago)

what's the exchange rate between USD and reddit karma

ciderpress, Thursday, 11 October 2012 16:09 (thirteen years ago)

wau this is amazingly pathetic and hilarious

The Owls of Ja Rule (DJP), Thursday, 11 October 2012 16:10 (thirteen years ago)

haha some of the comments on the reddit thread about it are so amazingly unselfaware. theyre all like "gawker has a history of posting personal things about people without their permission"

hahaha like sexualized pics of childrens butts or

oh you just mean like reg journalism stuff

(♥___♥) (roxymuzak), Thursday, 11 October 2012 16:12 (thirteen years ago)

sexualized pics of children's butts is totally regular journalism, this is 2012
