A new 30 Rock thread because I can't find the old one

Season 4 is kind of a dip but I think it recovers quite well in next two seasons, even if it isn't up the standard of the earlier stuff. Lots of lolz to be had at any rate.

Seasons 2-3 definitely the peak for me, 4-5 not on par but still best sitcom on tv. Season 6 without a doubt kind of lame, by 30 Rock standards.

If you ask fifteen 30 Rock fans this question, you will get at least fourteen different answers (e.g. I thought 6 was a vast improvement on 5).

last year was def a comeback year imo

I wouldn't say the show ever got anywhere near legit bad, but there were two very distinct dips when it was much less great. But the show bounced back both times.

i loved the show from the beginning but the only episodes that i really don't enjoy watching now are the first few, the rhythm was just not there yet

last year bummed me out so bad, i actually stopped watching halfway through. it coincided with me being more busy anyway but i was really a fanatic before that and would always defend the show earlier when others said it was slipping.

lucky you, when you realize how stupid it was to stop watching you'll have hilarious episodes like "Meet The Woggels" and "St. Patrick's Day" waiting for you

Last year was great. And the lows on this show are not very low, it's been super consistent for me. That Leap Day episode was probably my favorite from last season.

man people here got so bent outta shape when anyone would interrupt the requoting of lines to say "eh this episode was just ok", but now everyone seems to at least aree every episode wasn't perfect

i have a couple seasons of 30 rock to catch up on (i don't even know which ones--3+4?) but the episodes from last season i caught were very, very good.

True. Most episodes have some good Tracy lines and some throwaways. Last night was ALL quality.

I love that the overarching theme this season will be the plotted destruction of NBC.

I knew this was going to be a return to form when Jonathan reappeared.

Tbh "Tank it" is the only thing that makes sense of NBC's programming decisions the past few years.

I just saw he won't be on the 2nd season of Whitney, so that makes Alec Baldwin's barb from last night's episode all the funnier.

There was a write-up on Whitney Cummings in a recent Rolling Stone, and it was mentioned that her SITCOM (she also has a forthcoming talk show wtf?) is being retooled for season 2. This all feels like a Chevrolet Citation/Citation II situation.

it's what everyone said about every show/movie set in new york, it's a general cliche

"homophone" was such a dad joke and i loved it (i am a dad)

i'm with some dude on the "this show is very consistent" vibe btw, i guess if you care about character development and show arcs you could say that the first couple of seasons are better maybe, but in terms of just number of LOLs it's been solid throughout
