Jose Mourinho, Terry's former manager at Chelsea , insisted the defender is "not a racist".
The Real Madrid coach said: "He's not racist, that's 100 per cent. Probably he had a racist comment or attitude against an opponent. Sometimes in football we do things the wrong way."

let's not go nuts, doing racist things doesn't make you a racist.

Mourinho is slightly to the right of Hitler though.

Matt DC, Friday, 28 September 2012 09:28 (thirteen years ago)

Hitler was a terrible man-manager tho

please don't say he's a racist. Drogba, Makélélé ... all of them will say he's not a racist.

Also I thought Drogba was one of the players who wouldn't sign a statement supporting Terry along with Mikel, Anelka, and malouda?

so says Daniel Taylor in the Guardian

OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE

EXCLUSIVE: Ferguson fumes at Nani after winger punches reserve midfielder Petrucci

Nani has moved a step closer to the Old Trafford exit after an incident which ended with him landing a blow on a young Manchester United team-mate. Words were exchanged between Nani and reserve team midfielder Davide Petrucci after a training ground challenge at Carrington. Nani later called the 20-year-old Italian over in the gym and the rest of the squad thought the pair would talk through their differences, but they were said to be stunned when Nani appeared to land a punch on Petrucci.

Other players quickly stepped in to prevent further trouble. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is still said to be considering what disciplinary action to take against the frustrated Portugal winger, who was hauled off at half-time against Liverpool last week following an abject first-half performance. Ferguson is believed to be fuming over the incident, which took place earlier this week and will only harden his resolve to offload Nani at the first opportunity.

wtf is gervinho a striker now? i feel lost

a hoy hoy, Saturday, 29 September 2012 11:46 (thirteen years ago)

Gervinho isn't a striker

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 29 September 2012 11:49 (thirteen years ago)

Arsenal should've signed Andy Carroll purely to unleash him on Terry today

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 29 September 2012 11:50 (thirteen years ago)

nice to see the jenkster back, hope he starts some shit

dunno about commentators using the proper "oskaaa" pronunciation tbh

r|t|c, Saturday, 29 September 2012 11:55 (thirteen years ago)

Gervinho is a striker like Cesc is a striker. Poor old Giroud. Not expecting much from this game tbh.
Arsenal aren't fun anymore.

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 11:56 (thirteen years ago)

Arteta's been good this calender year. Did he play this deep for Everton or has he reinvented his game?

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 11:57 (thirteen years ago)

Also if Ramsey is preferred to you as a right sided attacker then you should really have a look at yourself Theo.

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 11:58 (thirteen years ago)

meh start but this looks like arsenal or 0-0 all day long

r|t|c, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:00 (thirteen years ago)

think if gervinho's getting starts ahead of you then theo's well within his rights to kick up a fuss

oh look diaby's injured

r|t|c, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:02 (thirteen years ago)

never

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:02 (thirteen years ago)

lol diaby shot the ball too hard apparently

r|t|c, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:03 (thirteen years ago)

Is not playing Theo
a) purely a football decision
b) trying to make him realise that he is in no way worthy of 100k per week

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:04 (thirteen years ago)

skrill xx (cozen), Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:11 (thirteen years ago)

losing Diaby's a disaster, he's been phenomenal for them

Arteta was out for a long time the year before he left Everton, him dropping deep is supposed to be an answer to him losing pace as a result xps

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:11 (thirteen years ago)

xxp kind of shit but quite funny

the perfect saturday morning game tbh

r|t|c, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:12 (thirteen years ago)

alan smith praising chelsea's disciplined performance while david luiz motors up the left wing

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:12 (thirteen years ago)

that's what gervinho offers you as a striker

skrill xx (cozen), Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:13 (thirteen years ago)

that was shit from the keeper lucky torres was offside

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:14 (thirteen years ago)

The most believable rumour I've been hearing about the Lloris situation is that they've got him in training and discovered he can't really handle crosses.

Matt DC, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:14 (thirteen years ago)

whats the popular opinion of gibbs these days

r|t|c, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:14 (thirteen years ago)

also matt this is indeed a p bad game so far

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:15 (thirteen years ago)

it is kind of shit matt. we are fouling hazard at any opportunity (giving them the set pieces we suck defending and they've scored from), instead of letting him open up the game (how we usually find it easier to play). it means it is a busy game with a lot of grandstanding, chelsea happy to keep us out of their box and keeping us to shitty long shots. cazorla, poldi, mata and oscar have all been quiet.

a hoy hoy, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:15 (thirteen years ago)

lloris thing is solely that friedel is playing v well so why drop him cos it won't obviously help results + p bad for team morale.

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:18 (thirteen years ago)

you'd think if that's true, matt, 140 odd games for lyon & 40 for france would've been enough pre-warning for spurs' scouts

skrill xx (cozen), Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:19 (thirteen years ago)

Plus when Friedel loses form he likely won't be coming back, so best use him while he's still got it

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:21 (thirteen years ago)

Gervinho deadly

pandemic, Saturday, 29 September 2012 12:27 (thirteen years ago)

take that ahoy!
