even as a joke, it's kind of weird to go to the press and make jokes about your wife opening the windows on a plane because it had to make an emergency landing, and it totally undercuts the presumably sincere concern for her wellbeing shown at the beginning of the quote

I watch golf. I admire the game. But no matter how much Tiger works out, or any golfer for that matter, I don't consider them athletes. There's nothing athletic about golf.

even accepting that golfers are athletes, its not a popular sport therefor the talent pool isnt v big, so its just not comparable to something like basketball where the competition to be the best is much greater, might as well argue that michael phelps is the greatest athlete of the 21st century
