holy shit re: scammer dude

hahahahahahahahahaha

cake-like Lady Gaga (DJP), Sunday, 23 September 2012 03:51 (thirteen years ago)

that guy is being totally overdramatic, but i partially agree with what he's saying in that a big part of the Apple fetish is their boxing. but expecting the sales guy to watch you open the package and beam good vibrations is hilarious

Nhex, Sunday, 23 September 2012 06:03 (thirteen years ago)

Apple store dude tried to do that with my iPad 1. And dropped it. Can't imagine how this guy would have handled that

stet, Sunday, 23 September 2012 11:27 (thirteen years ago)

In 1997 when I went into GAME and said "I'd like an N64 with Mariokart and Mario64 please" the lad behind the counter tried to give me a high five. I'm afraid left him hanging.

JimD, Sunday, 23 September 2012 11:35 (thirteen years ago)

jim you cold as ice

is it possible to believe Apple are shipping iphones in this state
http://www.theverge.com/2012/9/24/3381464/iphone-5-scuff-photos#3864013

stet, Monday, 24 September 2012 09:44 (thirteen years ago)

very probably, if they're having to meet insane targets of 4867438378953 units per day

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 24 September 2012 10:25 (thirteen years ago)

i don't understand how they can despoil the excitement like this

stet, Monday, 24 September 2012 10:26 (thirteen years ago)

fwiw I think they'll all scuff and ultimately just look loved/worn like the old ipods xp

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 24 September 2012 10:26 (thirteen years ago)

mine was fine out of the box, one or two tiny tiny barely perceptible dings on the top, but tbh I could have done those myself

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 24 September 2012 10:29 (thirteen years ago)

my macbook pro arrived scuffed and when I opened it a few months later to reattach the optical drive's cable, a loose screw fell out

barthes simpson, Monday, 24 September 2012 11:42 (thirteen years ago)

but yeah no I can't believe the well-paid artisanal iphone makers in China would let this slip under their watchful eyes

barthes simpson, Monday, 24 September 2012 11:43 (thirteen years ago)

the discovery that their co-workers might be responsible for defiling the precious objects led them to riot yesterday

God damn, I hate the iphone. I had a nasty falling out with my sister over it. I just don't think it is cute or ergonomic. Everyone tells me to get one "for the music". It has all of these hard edges. I just think they are ugly and un-phonelike. Then my mom got an ipad and it's cool for people who aren't heavy into computers...but as soon as I get the money I'm getting a Macbook pro. What's sad is many CAD programs aren't available for Mac so I always need a PC. But I miss the laptops.

Besides, I don't use itunes anymore since it lost its charm a long time ago plus someone at work (in house job?) hacked all of our itunes and that kind of ruined the experience for a lot of us. Believe it or not, I switched to Windows Media Player until Spotify came along.

I need to buy a few copies of Windows for my Mac-using office to use w/ boot camp. I assume Windows 7 is the best, most affordable option but when I search for a copy to buy I get confused. Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit (Full) System Builder DVD 1 Pack -- is this what i want? i don't even know what it means! can someone here w/ more experience than me w/ boot camp link me up to the thing on amazon I need to buy so I can become WORKPLACEHERO???
