Thank goodness for that. Possibly particularly noteworthy that Gazzaniga (our 20-year-old Argentinian from Gillingham) was in goal - I guess he is viable competition for Kelvin Davis after all, which is sort of a relief. Mainly delighted that this'll get people off Adkins' back for a bit, cos us getting rid of him would be a big mistake.

It's far too early to worry about this - you could easily climb back up to 17th tomorrow. I don't think Southampton have moved out of reach of Liverpool by any means - the two of you will probably swap places repeatedly as the season goes on.

dreading a Giggs start tomorrow, as i'm pretty sure Nani is a goner even though he was Utd's best player in the second half of the CL game. Not discounting a surprise Rooney appearance either. Dirk Kuyt to score the winner.
