I didn't say they were nice!

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Are these wrong? If so, why do I feel so...drawn...to them?

sgs, Lacoste Futro's are 69.99 quid.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:21 (twenty-one years ago)

The shiny bit is bad, isn't it?

Are these any better?

http://www.faith.co.uk/jpg/productImages/413176af.jpg

They're plastic, but they're also cheap.

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:23 (twenty-one years ago)

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Reminds me of a beetle, or a cockroach.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha I suck.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:28 (twenty-one years ago)

we must go to Japan

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

We must go to Japan!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I just bought these on eBay.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:49 (twenty-one years ago)

looks good mark!

sgs (sgs), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks hon. Those shoes I found for you are up to £22.33 - still interested? Here they are if anyone wants to give an opinion.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 5 November 2004 11:57 (twenty-one years ago)

ha ha, I've got a pair of those red ears. They rub across the top of the toes if you've got wide feet, but they look nice

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 5 November 2004 12:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not big on Red Ear. But I have to say, the Adidas boots posted are frigging great (the ones on the website are cool, but not essential - the hiking influence with the high tops is a li'l too strong). How may we plan our en masse trip to Japan? That's one of my life ambitions right there!

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 5 November 2004 12:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I have narrow feet--my hesitation was that they look a little wide for me from the photo. Mark suggested these because my old red shoes are knackered. (I'll see if I can find a picture of those--they're about the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.)

Would Japanese shoes be made big enough for my feet, I wonder.

sgs (sgs), Friday, 5 November 2004 12:09 (twenty-one years ago)

those red ears are mega wide, but they kind of crease right across the top of my toes. I have them in brown though, natch

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 5 November 2004 12:13 (twenty-one years ago)

hm, yeah, they'd probably be too wide for me. (Best pass, Mark, unless you think you'd wear them!) Can't find a photo of my old ones, but they're made by this company: http://www.trippen-shoes.com
They were expensive but have been well worth it.

sgs (sgs), Friday, 5 November 2004 12:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm getting these tomorrow...
(the ones smack bang in the middle. For the uninitiated the Harris Tweed Terminators will be mine, oh yes!)

Chris - apparently Sole trader have them too, in bigger sizes, well 8 for sure.

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 12 November 2004 12:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Apparently (according to my man at Size) "all the fashionistas are wearing them" so they've pretty much sold out. He's kept me a pair which is handy!!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 12 November 2004 12:27 (twenty-one years ago)

oh crikey, if that's the case I don't want them (the fashionistas that is)

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 12 November 2004 12:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahah, well you don't really have to worry about that aspect in Cambridge!!! you could get them & then sit on them for a bit?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 12 November 2004 12:34 (twenty-one years ago)

there is that, but hmmmmm.

I might wait til next week as we're going over to Lille which is outlet store central, may have to pick up something different there instead (also - Lacoste factory shop!!)

Porkpie (porkpie), Friday, 12 November 2004 12:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Toby, are you around? I'd like to talk to you about what we were discussing last night.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 12 November 2004 12:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Sounds like you need them in your life!!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 12 November 2004 12:40 (twenty-one years ago)

two weeks pass...
Air Rifts time! I need to clean the insoles of mine, but am afraid I won't be able to completely remove them from the shoes without doing some damage.

Additionally, I need to find a (n affordable) pair for a female friend - do Rifts have a good history in the January sales?

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Monday, 29 November 2004 14:20 (twenty-one years ago)

mine are silver.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 29 November 2004 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Are you a pixie?

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Monday, 29 November 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I suppose so!

RJG (RJG), Monday, 29 November 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG = Richard John Grayson = Nightwing = The original Robin.

HOLY SHIT, IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Monday, 29 November 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

rifts don't tend to srop so much, although I've noticed TK Maxx getting some very different trainers in (Y3s for example)

Footlocker have some lovely new reissues in (and of course I've just foprgotten the name - they look like a cross between a dunk low and a terminator) Brown and grey with a blue swoosh = lovely

Porkpie (porkpie), Monday, 29 November 2004 14:47 (twenty-one years ago)

the annual boots.
