Do you have the protection plan? If so, then it doesn't matter at all what you tell them happened.

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:38 (twenty years ago)

oh, ok.

xp no protection plan, just warranty.

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:39 (twenty years ago)

In that case lie. And probably pay for a new phone, in my experience. I learned the hard way and therefore have the protection plan.

There is a pH-strip thing in the phone that turns pink when there is water damage. Just hope they don't check that or don't care.

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:41 (twenty years ago)

gulp. i just did it. i called her back & gave the whole story. i can't believe myself. i couldn't turn back, though.
but, she did ask me how possible it would be for me to take two weeks off & then come back & i told her it was possible. it's nice to feel so wanted for a job & if this place ends up wanting me & i end up going & loving it a whole lot, i suppose the right job could convince me to refund my ticket in the name of financial stability.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:48 (twenty years ago)

xpost re. phone: I didn't know either. Until I learned it. Then I knew it.

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:49 (twenty years ago)

Take off your battery and look. It should be right there. My current phone's detector is pink because I dropped it in the sink.

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:52 (twenty years ago)

the lie. (she asked. i tried to be minimal)

i'm scum.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:52 (twenty years ago)

Gilbert O'Sullivan (kenan), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 16:59 (twenty years ago)

i'm totally squirming. sorely, actually. i worked out yesterday & i need to gingerly sit myself upon the toilet seat b/c of the soreness. have you ever had those days?! it's been awhile for me.

Sweet Tater (kelstarry), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:01 (twenty years ago)

If anyone is scum, it's temp agencies. They're like job pimps. Sweet Tater could never be scum. But she does have a sore bum!

That was the source of her outrage.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:13 (twenty years ago)

Yeah mine has a little circular white sticker with some pink dots, but nothing else that could be a pH strip/litmus paper or whatever.

Holy makkara, Toivo! (OutDatWay), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:13 (twenty years ago)

John Cunningham

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:14 (twenty years ago)

I shop a lot? Do I? Sometimes I feel that I do, and I wonder what's wrong with me. I should be a buyer. Then I could shop for a living.

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:14 (twenty years ago)

OH! remember how I ordered those headphones from Amazon yesterday? They are already on the truck on their way to my house today! And that's with the free shipping.

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:16 (twenty years ago)

Today I am going to buy:

-1 3 inch metal screw
-1 2x6 board
-1 replacement aluminum screen for my kitchen window

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:17 (twenty years ago)

I am going to buy.......A SANDWICH!

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:19 (twenty years ago)

Sometimes I think about posting something on Noize, and then I'll go read a thread or two and remember that I'm not very noize.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:32 (twenty years ago)

xpost - You're going to buy a PHONE!

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:40 (twenty years ago)

Have any of you been to the Paper Source warehouse sale before? I kind of want to go, but also it looks CRAZY.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:53 (twenty years ago)

I think Kelsey went -- you should totally get some stuff for your INVITATIONS, YO.

The Milkmaid (82375538-A) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 17:59 (twenty years ago)

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:01 (twenty years ago)

It's time once again to vote on the world's sexiest vegetarian.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:32 (twenty years ago)

COME BACK, CHICAGO. Where is everyone?

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:33 (twenty years ago)

Kevin Nealon vs. Jess from Gilmore Girls -- I can't decide!

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:33 (twenty years ago)

I dunno, JMZ, I need to be able to cook for any sexy person in my life, and I'm not rejigging all favorite recipes.

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:34 (twenty years ago)

All of your favorite recipes include meat?!?

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:35 (twenty years ago)

Don't everyone's?

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:36 (twenty years ago)

Yes!

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:38 (twenty years ago)

Not necessarily!

The Milkmaid (82375538-A) (The Milkmaid), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:39 (twenty years ago)

Yes!

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:39 (twenty years ago)

Although I did make a salad sandwich for lunch. Bread + a bunch of store-bought mixed greens + a shitloud of Grey Poupon.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:42 (twenty years ago)

Haha I am just being contrary. Sorry, John.

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:42 (twenty years ago)

Contrary, yet quietly OTM.

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:44 (twenty years ago)

We shouldn't really dwell on 'a shitload of Grey Poupon'.

Hey, J.'s already documented his DJ-ing last night, but it's worth adding that Nick was a fantastic DJ, pushing the bpm up and up and filling up the 'dance floor'.

Eazy (Eazy), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:52 (twenty years ago)

This is undoubtedly true.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:52 (twenty years ago)

Were people not dancing?

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:53 (twenty years ago)

Okay, I'm going to a meeting over lunch (sucks) and then getting actual lunch (awesome), later.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 5 May 2006 15:47 (twenty years ago)

Hey Steve.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 5 May 2006 15:56 (twenty years ago)

Hey. If it's OK with you, I'm going to start a new thread.

Whispy Fandango Triphop (unclejessjess), Friday, 5 May 2006 16:02 (twenty years ago)

You're kidding, right?
