PERVERTALIST.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 2 February 2004 23:23 (twenty-two years ago)

The woman opposite me on the train today was an absolute spit of Teeny, only after eating some pies. She even wore the same clothes (albeit stretched by the pies).

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 14:36 (twenty-two years ago)

mmmm pie!

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 15:32 (twenty-two years ago)

You brandish your racy metabolism in my face for the last time!

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 15:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I am NOT playing indie rock. They've seen my proposed playlist. If they had issues with Captain Sensible, they should've said so.

And the time is 10 in the MORNING not at night, sorry for that confusion. What is that UK time, 3pm? But it hasn't started yet!

Allyzay, Tuesday, 3 February 2004 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

And the time is 10 in the MORNING not at night

Bah, given my work schedule that means I'll never be able to hear it! Ah well, I will send good thoughts from afar. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 3 February 2004 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Saw Momus at Club Transmediale in Berlin Monday night, but did not have an opportunity to introduce myself. Sorry.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I wasn't talking of you, cozen, but another c-word/name.

haha, maybe you don't count, anymore!

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I bumped into Tico kind of by accident in Islington on Friday. He was listening to his walkman.

Me: "Oh, what are you listening to Mr Tico?"
TT: "Tarzan Boy".

He's never off-duty, that one.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

i never seem to bump into anyone despite lurking around Islington quite regularly now

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

That's why stevem, they always see you lurking & leg it!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Saw Momus at Club Transmediale in Berlin Monday night, but did not have an opportunity to introduce myself. Sorry.

I'll be there tonight again if you're around, Colin.

Momus (Momus), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

No, I'm back in Frankfurt. But I suspect our paths will cross again, as Jason F. and I are pals and working on a project together.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 19:49 (twenty-two years ago)

two months pass...
RJG, on Byres Road!!! I was overdressed in hoodie and coat. He was pimpin in sleeves. He was also very cool, like he knew I'd be walking along. We should have just exchanged some kind of smooth handshake and not broken stride.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Wednesday, 7 April 2004 23:23 (twenty-two years ago)

the Doc on Stott, ranting, was guid.

the pinefox, Thursday, 8 April 2004 08:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Glasgow is the world centre of impromptu sightings, I think.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 8 April 2004 08:16 (twenty-two years ago)

i seem to run into lauren a lot these days. but only at night.

phil-two (phil-two), Thursday, 8 April 2004 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

because during the day i'm hanging upside down in my cave, replenishing my strength. i'd say see you tonight at ilirjana's, but then it would no longer be impromptu.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 8 April 2004 18:14 (twenty-two years ago)

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 8 April 2004 20:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I had two random ILX encounters today! I was having a fag break outside the office this afternoon when Sarah came over to say hello; and then on my other pm fag break Pete came past and we talked briefly. Both work fairly near me, so neither is surprising, but two in successive fag breaks is good.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Hee hee "fag break"

Annoying Middle-Schooler (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan, go and see the principle!

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:44 (twenty-two years ago)

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:45 (twenty-two years ago)

The Pleasure Principal

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 20 April 2004 16:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Ian Johnson (orion), Monday, 3 May 2004 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

grassroots?

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 20:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I might see them at Fort Awesome on Sunday.

Oh I missed this revived thread. Did you end up at that show at Ft. Awesome last month, h? Rachel and I were there for a bit but the basement "club" area gives me the creeps, what with the six foot ceiling, mildew and BO smell, and exposed bare wires. (Post headline: SCORES DEAD IN TWEE INFERNO.) So we watched the new KG, who I liked, and moved on.

Dickerson Pike (Dickerson Pike), Monday, 3 May 2004 20:18 (twenty-two years ago)

naw I didn't go, unfortunately, but I heard good things about Architecture in Helsinki. By "new KG" do you mean Tae Won Yu's (sp?) new duo with Sarah Marcus? I wanted to see that, Sarah used to be in a band with my girlfriend.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 20:19 (twenty-two years ago)

grassroots?

nope. don't remember the name, though.

Ian Johnson (orion), Monday, 3 May 2004 20:20 (twenty-two years ago)

just a guess.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 3 May 2004 20:20 (twenty-two years ago)

i think i saw carsmile & meg walking near times square a few days ago! maybe wednesday'ish. but i wasn't sure and it was crowded and by the time my head registered it was them i was already a block away.

phil-two (phil-two), Monday, 3 May 2004 21:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I bumped into Alang, Emma and Pete on Saturday afternoon outside the Odeon Tottenham Court Road. They were going to see 'Eternal Sunshine' (what a great film!), I was on my way to buy a stereo.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 3 May 2004 22:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I heard good things about Architecture in Helsinki. By "new KG" do you mean Tae Won Yu's (sp?) new duo with Sarah Marcus? I wanted to see that, Sarah used to be in a band with my girlfriend.

Yeah that's who I meant, Tae's new band, which is just Tae and Sara. He's dating Rachel's quasi-partner at Vinegar Hill Printers, aka "my house," so he's been over a few times lately. I hadn't seen him since the heyday (such as it was) of K/cking G/ant, but talking country records with him piqued my interest. (Mind you, Sara and he aren't making country music.) The new band sennes to be called "the KG Band." I didn't know that she's a pretty decent drummer, and held it together well, and the band is really good, sort of a spare-sounding (though loud) tuneful din, shortish songs, lots of Tae's wheezing in his tenor. And since the K days, he has become a bit of a showman. What was your girlfriend's band?

Four or five people told me Arch. in Helsinki played a hell of a good show. I wish I had seen it, claustophobia notwithstanding.

Dickerson Pike (Dickerson Pike), Monday, 3 May 2004 23:23 (twenty-two years ago)

my girlfriend was in the Long Lost, which was playing out about a year or two ago. Sara was the drummer in that band too, she's great.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

and actually my girlfriend's playing at Eat Records in Greenpoint tonight. If you're interested, I could send you an email with the details.

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

gareth (gareth), Monday, 10 May 2004 09:40 (twenty-two years ago)

jed, with a roll of newspapers, at st. george's cross.

RJG, with a sweat and without painkillers, was unable to afford the polite, interested converstion he would have liked and, unfortunately, ended up just being rude. jed, being a gentleman, graciously "let" him "go".

maybe next time.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 15 May 2004 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I bumped into Matt DC in St James Park on Thursday lunchtime, strolling round the pond. Twice.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Saturday, 15 May 2004 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw jed about 3 weeks ago walking along past walkabout. presumably to the UGC cinema.

N. at the top of buchanan street; (sorry I had to rush off!)

RJG and cathy, along from the art-school, we said hellos.

I bumped into ally c a week before RJG's party earlier in the year. and about a month ago he walked up behind me on sauchiehall street and said 'howie, howieyedoin'?'

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 15 May 2004 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, yeah, cozen and a gf, on renfrew street. I almost didn't count this, does that mean I think of you differently, now?

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 15 May 2004 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you think of him that way?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 15 May 2004 16:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I can think of you differently too.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 15 May 2004 16:38 (twenty-two years ago)

play the x-post lottery.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 15 May 2004 16:38 (twenty-two years ago)

There was someone who looked just like Jerry the Nipper, bar spikier hair, in my hotel in Barcelona, but he was German so I decided it wasn't him.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 08:10 (twenty-two years ago)

saw Lixi on another bus on Monday morning as I was heading into work

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 08:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I bumped into Ken and Ben "Killer" Apps by Regents Park tube yesterday evening.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 08:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I am not even a proper ilxor - however! did I spot some at the Dylan Moran gig last night at the Palace Theater?

clive (Clive), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 08:29 (twenty-two years ago)
