Cukor's Bhowani Junction on tomorrow night 7pm CST. Never seen it, not on DVD, VHS now pricey, Cukor divine, etc.

Also, Borzage's brutal but gorgeous A Man's Castle on Sunday the 31st at 10:30pm CST. I'm hoping they have a decent print to work from since I've had a hideous bootleg for years.

Second the love for The Legend of Lylah Clare. After Kiss Me Deadly I'd say it's his best.

Their on-demand channel (& I assume TCM proper) has / had a pretty good Val Lewton documentary (w/ ponderous / hilarious narration by Scorscese) this month.

Thursday September 4 - Jewel Robbery and then immediately after Tay Garnett's One Way Passage. Both left me a bit underwhelmed but both are spoken of highly so proceed accordingly.

Sunday September 7 - Harriet Craig, one of Joan Crawford's very best. About a woman who loves her house more than any human being including her husband played appropriately by the actor with the wussiest name in all of classical Hollywood, Wendell Corey. The ending is NOT sad! Much better and more coherent than Dorothy Arzner's 1936 pass at the story, Craig's Wife.
