Zing Touch: ILX now ON IPHONE (and ipod tooches too)

next up: killfile ON IPHONE

(killfile would be neater on iphone because you have to iterate all the messages before displaying them anyway (ok, depends how alan is doing this) and you can keep a list of blocked people on the phone, not in the script, and have clickable interface to block / unblock)

New version looks slick. 2 features I'd love:

1. Ability to zoom/pan images.
2. Tab/page for my bookmarks (even if they HAVEN'T been updated).

ilx works great on iPad via safari except sometimes if i scroll down a really long thread it takes me back to the post I started scrolling from (like a bungee cord)

ok the only thing i dont like about the new look is how there's an ILX favicon next to each of my bookmarks. i cant live with that.

My plan there was board-specific favicons (which would also be nice in SNA) but I ran out of time and thought "ship it"

with this interface, I finally see the point of using bookmarks

Just fired up new zing and it crashes when I try to log in. Didn't save my old details it seems. Any ideas?

Not saving old details sounds like you might have a corrupted cache. Delete the app and reinstalling would be the first thing to try.

I seem to be having an issue since I moved to the iPhone 5 where when I click on a thread, it doesn't go all the way down to where my bookmark should be. Example is the ILX2 NEW Username translator compendium.

Does it move at all? I wonder if the screen length changing is throwing off the calculations.

mine seems to be fine, although there have been one or two small glitches which I can't remember just now (sorry)

I tried a non-letterboxed version last night and it honks, unfortunately. Obvious stuff like the hidden buttons beneath the keyboard I expected to break, but the toolbar buttons at the bottom of lists are also broken, and I'm not sure why. Will investigate and try and get a version out asap.

It does move, it just goes down only part of the way and not to the actual message that I bookmarked. I didn't try logging in and out, I'll see if that makes a difference.

Yeah, still doing it. Basically on the mega threads it is only going down halfway.

I am still seeing the problem where the the text entry window seems too big, so text gets hidden beneath the black bar above the keyboard. Just me?

iPhone 4 on both iOS 5 and iOS 6.

Yeah, seems to have. With posts containing certain videos (HD ones, I think) when you look at them in the post view the video thumbnail expands to a huge height. It still plays when you tap it, though.

New Zing is marvelous obviously. Just a quick question - is there any way for some future version to include the search function or is there a blindingly obvious reason why this would be too difficult/not possible?
