eh we all know where i am on the political spectrum, morbz is closer to me (in that respect) than most of you (except drew, i would suspect), so whatever. let's not talk about it.

anyway, both my bf and i had terrible trouble sleeping last night. so we're both still in bed, tho i've made coffee and already read most of the news sites i usually read.

i think today, i shall write.

my birthday party is tomorrow night and i'm home sick from work today :(

im pretty liberal, tho definitely more center compared to morbs and tabes. prob even alfred too. i've considered not voting this year. i still might not. no one i know IRL would do that, tho (except maybe out of rank laziness).

there's certain things that the president or the govt has done that really anger me, but there's also a lot of shitty stuff that i just chalk up to as being "the world" (and out of obama's control, more or less). that last part is probably where i get closer to shakey mo and further from y'all.

actually, j0rdan, i'm pretty close to you on that whole 'the world is shit' thing. it's just that i try to limit my participation in its political processes as a result.

Morbs is at heart a Catholic guy with its attendant rages and paradoxes; it's what makes him so attractive too.

haha I've defined tradition and become more liberal with each passing year. I was so indifferent in 2000 to the Bush crypto-victory.

Overall T/Morbs principles and ideals (to the extent that Morbs ever cogently expresses any) are OTM but there is the problem of People who you agree with but are dicks vs. people who you disagree with but are cool about it

i love reading in bed with the boy. atm he's reading "Close to the Knives" and i'm reading one of Giorgio Agamben's first books. it's kind of really really gay.

- the introduction to leo bersani's 'homos' (earlier this week)
- the first couple of pages of 'the waves' (i fell asleep but i was really tired that evening)
- a short story about kaspar hauser from some issue of 'conjunctions' i think
- the text of robert ashley's 'the park' (well, i read this, out loud)
- gertrude stein and alice b. toklas' love letters (shut up)

I had a not-fun conversation the other night with my aunt who looked at me like some sort of traitor because I said I was probably voting Green.

I've never dated anyone, including the boy I'm with now, who reads more than texts.

I try not to read in bed too much on account of I'll get too annoyed when I'm interrupted with sex.
