maybe walt dies, resulting in skylar king

skylar king
sigh nm
I mean at the beginning of the season when she found out about Fring. The Mike/Jesse/Walt operation wasn't pulling in Czech amounts but it was still quite a bit, enough for her to take a percentage and walk with the kids. I know she wasn't exactly in her right mind but she seemed to be thinking clearly enough to know that basically her family was in mortal danger.
― TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 5 September 2012 09:28 (thirteen years ago)
Yeah, that's sort of a good question. For a while her number one priority was to keep the family together, but lately ... not so much. I think at this point she knows she's complicit in the whole scheme.

― pplains, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 13:52 (thirteen years ago)
doesn't the "wackin' Bin Laden wasn't this complicated?" line totally fuck w/ the assumption that the show started in 2008 and the story is now in like 2009? smh if LOST was better than this show at remembering what year it takes place in.
― some dude, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 13:54 (thirteen years ago)
er didn't mean to have a question mark in the quote
with skyler, i figure the main reason she has to stay is cos walt jr wouldn't go with her and would have a big freakout.

Someone probably thought of this already, but:

"Hey guys! Alltel News is reporting that Bin Laden's dead!"
― pplains, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 14:07 (thirteen years ago)
Damn, can't believe the Aryan Nation killed Bin Laden.
― pplains, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 14:08 (thirteen years ago)
Yeah the Bin Laden thing really stuck out to me, but on the other hand there's nothing that explicitly dates the start of the series in 2008. There were no noisy brostep parties back then either.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 14:27 (thirteen years ago)
more innocent times

remember when Jessie was playing Rage before it came out? There's definitely a time travel element to this show
― Number None, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 14:43 (thirteen years ago)
If there's such a place that's more behind the times than Albuquerque, I'm probably living in it.
That said, I haven't seen a flip phone or an honest-to-god answering machine since swine flu killed us all.
― pplains, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 14:46 (thirteen years ago)
Can anyone tell what year Walt's new 300 SRT is? Or Flynn's Challenger SRT? I googled for images and they look like 2012 models, but I'm not a car person.

That's mild nerd detail stuff compared to scouring Google Earth to find the location for the great train robbery.

So he is, according to BB wiki. Thought there had been a "continuing coverage" about him dying, but I guess I filled in that blank.

So, plane victims aside, has there really only been one female death on BB so far?
― Eric H., Wednesday, 5 September 2012 16:20 (thirteen years ago)
Two. There was the lady the Cousins killed.

Women don't really appear much in Breaking Bad unless they're in Walt's family, girlfriends of Jesse or meth heads.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 16:27 (thirteen years ago)
or high-powered executives
― Author ~ Coach ~ Goddess (s1ocki), Wednesday, 5 September 2012 16:28 (thirteen years ago)
Don't know why, but I suddenly find the lack of dead women in this show problematic.
― Eric H., Wednesday, 5 September 2012 16:31 (thirteen years ago)
just watched this morning -- i loved how walt marches in to meet lydia all cool with his hat and sunglasses and he stares at her for a moment, and then reaches into his pocket to put his regular glasses on.
― rayuela, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 16:39 (thirteen years ago)
He totally seems like the type who would have transitions lenses, but if he did, we wouldn't have the whole becoming Heisenberg moment
― kate78, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 16:41 (thirteen years ago)
Dead women killed by cousins coming across the border.
― pplains, Wednesday, 5 September 2012 18:10 (thirteen years ago)
xpost Maybe he was speaking hypothetically about how hard it was to kill Bin Laden, because back then they hadn't killed him yet despite tons of effort?
