I think one of the only areas in which NBC wins out is in the nightly news sector. Brian Williams seems to be liked by most everyone, but he's nowhere near having the influence of Walter Kronkite.

Brian Williams is scary because he's a blank. Remember when crusty William Holden complained about TV babies? He meant Brian Williams. The guy offers no inflections, turns of phrase, or even warmth. He's a guy with varnished looks who reads briefs.

MHP for the win - her weekend show is awesome, they get all liberal arts seminar academic instead of just arguing about the news of the day. I like Hayes' weekend show too but I haven't seen it as much since it's on so early.

Maddow is so good at television and as an anchor of MSNBC election/convention coverage. I def enjoy watching her show but it gets a little cutesy and aggravating when she spends whole segments on silly stuff - soundbites of the day blown out of proportion, that sort of thing.

Haven't seen any of these folks since cutting cable almost a year ago. Voted for Tamron Hall because she's ridiculously hot.

Another Jennings fan. One of my mom's formative childhood experiences was watching Jennings run through the jungle in Vietnam trying not to get shot. Kinda hard to imagine any of the above doing that.
