They're totally happy. But they're a criminal enterprise behind the brazen murder of 9 inmates, all directly involved in the Madrigal investigation, killings prominent enough that it got local news coverage. I imagine the DEA won't shrug and simply let it slide. They'll shake some trees. And beyond that, Todd is directly connected to them, too. And in turn directly connected to Walt. His whole world is loose ends.

Based on murmurings, I'm a little worried that none of Walt's family will make it out of this alive. Or at least not everyone.

Walter wouldn't have gotten the results from a scan he just had. He's likely learned his lesson from peeking over the operator's shoulder at the monitor.

The show has also shown him getting routine scans in the past, like the time he was chilling in the locker room with some other cancer man, telling him to stop his yapping.

There's more to infer from his little coughs in the future then there is from the scan scenes.

That scene of Walt saying he's out comes after a visit to the doctor's office. Is it safe to say his human side came out of whatever he learned at that doctor's office? How important will that be in the end game of the show?

Good attention to detail there. The best way to put it is, we really try never to have a scene in our show that adds up to nothing. Every scene - if you go to the trouble of asking your crew to build a set and shoot a scene, it damn well ought to be important. So going forward, every scene is important. There were probably a lot of good reasons for Walt to walk into the kitchen and say to his wife, "I'm out." She gave him a damn good one at the end of the previous act, when she showed him all that money. She basically explained to him that this is just a giant pile of paper that, at this point, we can't even do anything with. How much is enough? How big does this pile have to be? That right there, that's a good reason to quit.

aryan brotherhood i could see playing in the future in that walt is teaching todd to cook so maybe they want to take over walts operation installing todd as head cook, but also theres only 8 eps left so who knows

its not clear what he did with his business... did he hand it over to todd? dismantle it completely? im sure all that stuff is comin tho

They have yet to start filming 9-16 iirc

Eh, this last episode jumped forward 3 months, didn't it? They can fit a lot into 8 episodes.

one thing that could happen is walt gets busted by hank he claims hes been coerced to cook meth by the aryan bros via threats of violence goes into witness protection in new hampshire then drives back to zona to kill them all w/a huge gun because hes mad

Going back to the restroom, I think the first time Walt punched the dispenser, it was because he saw Heisnberg looking back at him.

This time though, it was Heisenberg seeing his reflection and he was all, "What's up, handsome?"

I keep wondering why and how Lydia became so invested in the meth business. Is it understood that she acts like someone who has consumed more than her share of stimulants?

I think the entire thing with her having Czech contacts is because she was part of the main game last time around. Dude in Germany was the mastermind, he used her in the same way she is now using the czech counterparts, but he was doing it from the restaurant arm of things and she is a general warehouse manager for a part of the company that ships for multiple concerns. What this means about the involvement of anyone in a division office, I have no idea. It could just be the shipping branch now.

Lydia is just a go-getter seizing the moment.

I think Walt suspected (rightly) that once Gus learned his recipe Walt would be killed

Gus wasn't actually that bothered about Walt for most of last season, he was focusing on the cartel, it was Walt who was obsessing about Gus trying to kill him which forced the conflict.

What if Walt meant for Hank to find the telltale flyleaf? (He knows ol' gimpy fat Hank goes to the can a lot)What was that thing he put into or by the light socket? Maybe he wants to have proof of Hank's reaction, a way to blackmail him? After all, Hank got his new job because his boss got canned for not knowing (and apparently not wanting to know, willfully obtuse at best) that the chicken man/cop's benefactor was Druglord. Somebody also suggested that Skyler put the book there (running her own game on Walt and Hank? Seems too bold for her). Responding to NYTimes queries, Gilligan confirmed that Walt is out, but seemed a little cagier when quoted by other sites. He tells 'em all that he and the other writers haven't decided yet about the rest of it (excellent, as long as it doesn't end like The Sopranos)

yeah he could have kept his head down and let Gus kill Jesse. Or Gus could have been reasonable and not prioritized two street thugs over his extremely valuable meth cooks.
