why would the AB be unhappy? they were expecting a never-ending supply of inside hit jobs?
― chicago rap twitter luminary (Shakey Mo Collier), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 16:53 (thirteen years ago)
They're totally happy. But they're a criminal enterprise behind the brazen murder of 9 inmates, all directly involved in the Madrigal investigation, killings prominent enough that it got local news coverage. I imagine the DEA won't shrug and simply let it slide. They'll shake some trees. And beyond that, Todd is directly connected to them, too. And in turn directly connected to Walt. His whole world is loose ends.
Based on murmurings, I'm a little worried that none of Walt's family will make it out of this alive. Or at least not everyone.
― Josh in Chicago, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 16:54 (thirteen years ago)
after what just happened i doubt anyone involved would ever dream about talking!
― Porto for Pyros (The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 17:08 (thirteen years ago)
Walter wouldn't have gotten the results from a scan he just had. He's likely learned his lesson from peeking over the operator's shoulder at the monitor.
The show has also shown him getting routine scans in the past, like the time he was chilling in the locker room with some other cancer man, telling him to stop his yapping.
There's more to infer from his little coughs in the future then there is from the scan scenes.

That scene of Walt saying he's out comes after a visit to the doctor's office. Is it safe to say his human side came out of whatever he learned at that doctor's office? How important will that be in the end game of the show?A.Good attention to detail there. The best way to put it is, we really try never to have a scene in our show that adds up to nothing. Every scene - if you go to the trouble of asking your crew to build a set and shoot a scene, it damn well ought to be important. So going forward, every scene is important. There were probably a lot of good reasons for Walt to walk into the kitchen and say to his wife, "I'm out." She gave him a damn good one at the end of the previous act, when she showed him all that money. She basically explained to him that this is just a giant pile of paper that, at this point, we can't even do anything with. How much is enough? How big does this pile have to be? That right there, that's a good reason to quit.

id be surprised if walts cancer doesnt come back, its so central to the show
aryan brotherhood i could see playing in the future in that walt is teaching todd to cook so maybe they want to take over walts operation installing todd as head cook, but also theres only 8 eps left so who knows
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 18:32 (thirteen years ago)
its not clear what he did with his business... did he hand it over to todd? dismantle it completely? im sure all that stuff is comin tho
― Author ~ Coach ~ Goddess (s1ocki), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 18:35 (thirteen years ago)
is there a break now or do we get all 16 epis one after another?
― skrill xx (cozen), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 18:40 (thirteen years ago)
They have yet to start filming 9-16 iirc
― omar little, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 18:43 (thirteen years ago)
i suspect walt is not actually out xp, obvs thats not really based on anything
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 18:44 (thirteen years ago)
Eh, this last episode jumped forward 3 months, didn't it? They can fit a lot into 8 episodes.
Todd, related to all these AR psychos, is conveniently privy to the fact that Walt is a one man operation that brings in millions but has absolutely no muscle to back it up. What if they were to threaten his family, force him to cook for them? How would Walt counter that?

he would just kill them all because he is a total badass of course, maybe w/an m60
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 18:48 (thirteen years ago)
one thing that could happen is walt gets busted by hank he claims hes been coerced to cook meth by the aryan bros via threats of violence goes into witness protection in new hampshire then drives back to zona to kill them all w/a huge gun because hes mad
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 18:50 (thirteen years ago)
Going back to the restroom, I think the first time Walt punched the dispenser, it was because he saw Heisnberg looking back at him.
This time though, it was Heisenberg seeing his reflection and he was all, "What's up, handsome?"
I still want to know what happened to the videotapes of Jesse showing the cartel how to make Blue Sky.
― pplains, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 19:21 (thirteen years ago)
pretty sure the videotapes took a shot of poisoned tequila.
― omar little, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 19:33 (thirteen years ago)
Taking the pill and coughing in the flash forward seems pretty conclusive to me.
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 19:33 (thirteen years ago)
Right and it's been a solid 3 months with no problems, looks like they're on good terms.
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 19:35 (thirteen years ago)
I thought maybe he had a cold or takes up smoking
― your native bacon (mh), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 19:36 (thirteen years ago)
the pill was benadryl, maybe for some allergies.

If Walt really is out, the Nazi guys are gonna be a lot less of a problem than Lydia and those other gang dudes whose supply of blue meth has just disappeared. From Lydia's point of view, Walt is a loose end...
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 19:57 (thirteen years ago)
What if Walt meant out of the closet?!?
― your native bacon (mh), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 20:00 (thirteen years ago)
I keep wondering why and how Lydia became so invested in the meth business. Is it understood that she acts like someone who has consumed more than her share of stimulants?
― these albatrosses have no fear of man (La Lechera), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 20:00 (thirteen years ago)
I think the entire thing with her having Czech contacts is because she was part of the main game last time around. Dude in Germany was the mastermind, he used her in the same way she is now using the czech counterparts, but he was doing it from the restaurant arm of things and she is a general warehouse manager for a part of the company that ships for multiple concerns. What this means about the involvement of anyone in a division office, I have no idea. It could just be the shipping branch now.
― your native bacon (mh), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 20:03 (thirteen years ago)
Lydia is just a go-getter seizing the moment.
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 20:14 (thirteen years ago)
guys
BREAKING. BAD.
― TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 20:45 (thirteen years ago)
i'm not remembering too clearly but it's not entirely true that all walt needed to have done was keep his head down and work for fring, is it? fring was going to off him, wasn't he?
― TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 20:58 (thirteen years ago)
if walt had been a more agreeable person aka not walt then it mightve worked out
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:00 (thirteen years ago)
but yeah gus decided to off him not too long into their partnership, because he wouldnt kill jesse iirc
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:01 (thirteen years ago)
I think Walt suspected (rightly) that once Gus learned his recipe Walt would be killed
― dmr, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:12 (thirteen years ago)
Gus wasn't actually that bothered about Walt for most of last season, he was focusing on the cartel, it was Walt who was obsessing about Gus trying to kill him which forced the conflict.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:16 (thirteen years ago)
What if Walt meant for Hank to find the telltale flyleaf? (He knows ol' gimpy fat Hank goes to the can a lot)What was that thing he put into or by the light socket? Maybe he wants to have proof of Hank's reaction, a way to blackmail him? After all, Hank got his new job because his boss got canned for not knowing (and apparently not wanting to know, willfully obtuse at best) that the chicken man/cop's benefactor was Druglord. Somebody also suggested that Skyler put the book there (running her own game on Walt and Hank? Seems too bold for her). Responding to NYTimes queries, Gilligan confirmed that Walt is out, but seemed a little cagier when quoted by other sites. He tells 'em all that he and the other writers haven't decided yet about the rest of it (excellent, as long as it doesn't end like The Sopranos)
― dow, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:24 (thirteen years ago)
if Walt had let Gus kill Pinkman to begin with, everything would have been fine (between them).

tbf Jesse was being pretty worthless back then, probably would've been better in the long run if Walt had just let them kill Jesse
― chicago rap twitter luminary (Shakey Mo Collier), Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:28 (thirteen years ago)
god how awesome would that be if the whole thing was the longest con ever by Skylar

She's smart and she's desperate. But how would she know the significance of the inscription? Oh, prob was something in media about G.B. being found shot to death, maybe his occupation, whatever info the cops couldn't keep from leaking.
― dow, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:38 (thirteen years ago)
Did Walt tell her about Gale? He told her more shit than I would have, but gotta tell 'em something.

yeah he could have kept his head down and let Gus kill Jesse. Or Gus could have been reasonable and not prioritized two street thugs over his extremely valuable meth cooks.
― Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 4 September 2012 21:50 (thirteen years ago)
basically Mike's whole speech was B.S., Gus brought it all on himself

really need to re-screen this whole show once it's over, like, stat

neo-nazi's are, i understand, the de-facto gang for white guys in prison. so on one hand it's not really that surprising uncle prisonconnections had swastica tatto dudes around him. on the other hand, yep, just how low can walt sink ffs?!?!?

u guys are driving me nuts. he paid them to kill nine people, i think that is lower on the scale than 'consorting with nazis.'
are u really thinking "now not only is he murdering people, but hes *gasps* paying a prison gang to help him!" its completely w/in character & not a leap in any way
