go to their page, click on the friends button, untick things

a) prevent certain people from sending you facebook event invitations

When you decline an invitation it gives you the option to block all event invites from the person.

b) stop getting notifications every time someone updates one of their stupid events?

If you respond to the invite - whether it's to accept, say maybe, or decline - you get an option to turn off notifications. It is annoying that you can't leave the invitation hanging before turning them off, but I guess if you're undecided you can always say maybe.

anyone else notice a sudden spike in the amount of posts from fan pages showing up in your feed?

I'm also getting a hell of a lot of sponsored page recommends showing up in my feed now, like "you should like this page!" shit about stuff I have no interest in, effectively like advertising smack in the middle of my feed. AND, now FB has started informing me of all the game apps my friends play, in a big wodge. That I cant hide. Despite having blocked and hidden every damn game app the site ever came out with.

all the lol liking of stupid pages that went on a bit a while ago is now backfiring as those damn pages are appearing in the iPhone app all the time as sponsored links. "Your friends like this bank! Want to like it?"

i know the whole deal is that facebook gets to change their shit up once or twice a year whether ppl like it or not, but this is p jarring.

OTOH photo albums look great now, despite being a little glitchy while i was uploading last nite (a few photos ended up in the wrong order when i first uploaded)

another privacy issue thingy: I tagged a couple of friends in a photo recently, and a random person liked it, but this random person isn't on my friends list, and isn't connected to either of the people I tagged. My photos have been set to "friends only". What am I missing?

This happened to me. Friends' friend can see what they're tagged in. I think tagging overrides 'friends only' setting.

also while i'm at it, these past few weeks, when i click on a message that's been sent to a group of people, sometimes it says in tiny at the bottom "message was seen by S, X and E at 11:45pm" and sometimes it dooesn't, anyone know why this only shows sometimes ?
