I kind of hope he samples his product before the series is done. Walter White at the culmination of a week-long crank-out would be something to behold.

Maybe the final scene will show him staggering out of a burning house, his dead family members laid out on his rocky lawn, Walt laughing manically into the night sky, embers rising up into the darkness, as we fade back to Walt sitting in the police SUV, watching Jesse scamper away after climbing out the window, and then saying to his brother-in-law, "Take me home, Hank."

I'm watching season 4 of The Shield, and none other than Tyrus has popped up as a probably serial killer.

Tyrus was great in the Shield.

Having watched most of Homicide (we're finishing up the last season now), and all of The Wire and The Shield, I feel like I can ID at least one actor in any subsequent TV drama that was in one of those three shows.
For example, Giancarlo Esposito plays a major role in the last season of Homicide, which just reinforces my opinion of him as a great actor because of how wildly different the roles are and how convincingly he played them both.
― carl agatha, Tuesday, 9 October 2012 16:41 (thirteen years ago)
The first time I really took notice of Esposito was as the heavy in Fresh. Although, tbh, this was probably the real first time I saw him:

On New Year's Eve 2009, I watched Godzilla 2000 because I'm a party animal.
As the monster tore down the buildings during that more innocent time and the crowds fled past store windows filled with blueberry iMacs, I finally realizedwhat a difference nine or ten years can make.

Not sure how I feel about this either. He's good light relief in BB, but he's really just the same character as GOB from Arrested Development.

the difference is he's written better

iunno if he'd be good as the central character; seems like he'd need foils to work off?
― cocktail onion (fennel cartwright), Tuesday, 9 April 2013 23:57 (thirteen years ago)
Dunno, I never really saw Saul as much else other than GOB as lawyer rather than magician. Maybe it's because they look a bit similar, but yeah the buffoonishness too I guess. I guess the difference is that Saul's actually good at his job, but they have a lot in common.
― pssstttt, Hey you (dog latin), Wednesday, 10 April 2013 07:41 (thirteen years ago)
I think it's an extremely odd comparison. They inhabit utterly different kinds of fictional universes for a start.
― I wish to incorporate disco into my small business (chap), Wednesday, 10 April 2013 11:29 (thirteen years ago)
Must just be me then. Saul Goodman always felt like a comedic character breaking through from one studio into another during BB. I was never too keen on him to be honest.
