Hint: Character actors are often hired not because of any particular ability they have but that they just manage to look like the character indented. That they can act is obv. a bonus.

i'm not saying he wasn't cast to seem guileless, but it's a stretch to say he was acting "goofy" or "dumb." POSSIBLY "gee-whiz".

but the first thing the character was distinguish himself from the rest of the goons. So really we're meant to think this guy looks unassuming but there's obviously more to him

This is almost off-topic, but I am wondering just what the hell Mike meant when he said to Lydia, "It's not a gun, it's a pistol. I intend accuracy." First of all, a pistol is a gun, it's just not a revolver. Second of all, AFAIK revolvers are not known for being less accurate than pistols. And thirdly, he was going to shoot her point-blank. So what the hell was he talking about?

He wanted Lydia to get the script 100% right and not deviate when she was on the phone to Hank.

OH! Ok, I get it. It was a double entendre. As in, "I intend for you to be as precise in reading this script as I am in being picky about what this kind of gun is called."

He was also asking Lydia to repeat back what he'd told her at the time.

Tarantulas are not venomous, per se, but they do have irritating fuzz they can shoot at you, and their fangs can still inflict a nasty wound, if the animal is angry enough. But treated gently they crawl right into jars and enjoy riding on mopeds in the desert. Which means ... I don't know, someone else can chip a metaphor out of that block.

Watching this episode again, I timed the end of it. The kid, the wave, the reaction shots, the killing: 45 seconds. Talk about precision. They changed the whole season in 45 seconds.

Jesse and Walt pull off a caper but it ends up making things worse for them? Yeah holy shit neevr seen that before.

It's kind of the overall theme of the show, and stuff.

Well, their other big caper this season ultimately (and pretty much only) resulted in Mike taking a much larger percentage of their haul, which is a pretty serious source of friction. The train heist will probably wind up roughly the same way (a success that ultimately isn't worth the cost of said success).

My assumption is that it will not prove difficult for them to dispose of a dead body and a motorcycle.

I mean yeah they could be off on their own without having to pay the prison dudes a cut, but without Mike they'd be using Badger to be their main dealer or something.
