Car wash probably doesn't actually make that much money, it's for laundering purposes really, certainly not enough to justify a year or two of abject hell and life threatening situations.
But it's not really about the money at this point.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 15:49 (thirteen years ago)
i think the net profits from the car wash were discussed in a previous season (definitely when Sky was negotiating w/the former owner), and i think they were higher than the Walt's pre-meth income
― sarahell, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 15:52 (thirteen years ago)
hope we're treated to a fun montage set to this sometime this season!

I have images off but I hope it's Yakety Sax.
― Neil Jung (WmC), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 15:56 (thirteen years ago)
You're totally right about the breakfast cereal. Though surely someone has put together a compendium of Walt Jr. eating breakfast then leaving the table.
― Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 15:58 (thirteen years ago)
i just typed walt jr into youtube search and the first thing in the pulldown bar was 'walt jr breakfast'
― Hungry4Ass, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 16:07 (thirteen years ago)

I'm not going to turn this into tumblr, but the Breaking Bad MS Paint comics are hilarious.

Does the car wash seem like the most likely location for Walt and Jesse's new meth lab? Is this possible? It would implicate Skyler majorly.
Also, Lydia's body language during the meeting with the DEA was a pretty strong tell, particularly the way she looked at the Madrigal CEO or President or whatever following the 'alleged' comment. I read it as: ok, the Madrigral boss is definitely involved and possibly the terrifying heart of the Fring operation.
And I've been really loving and noticing the hairstyles.
― America's Mobile, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 17:52 (thirteen years ago)
It'd be a bit weird to locate your meth lab in your money laundering location
― Number None, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 17:58 (thirteen years ago)
i could see walt browbeating skyler into it and that might be the sticking point that she'd see an option to sell him out
― I dont even know that I think this sucks per se (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:05 (thirteen years ago)
cuz is that where we're headed? Skyler cuts a deal with hank and jesse and walt get nailed?
― I dont even know that I think this sucks per se (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:06 (thirteen years ago)

Oh man that cook montage. Pure showboating, but if anyone has a right to get away with it...
― s.clover, Monday, 30 July 2012 03:47 (thirteen years ago)
It's hard to imagine how we're gonna get from here to giant-gun-in-truck in just 13 more episodes
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 30 July 2012 03:49 (thirteen years ago)
Can't believe there's only 5 more episodes until next summer...
― pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Monday, 30 July 2012 03:58 (thirteen years ago)
is it really gonna be a whole year
― lag∞n, Monday, 30 July 2012 03:59 (thirteen years ago)
lol walt thinks mike is flying too close to the sun
― lag∞n, Monday, 30 July 2012 04:00 (thirteen years ago)

― lag∞n, Monday, 30 July 2012 04:07 (thirteen years ago)
i like how walt is basically just angry that he's not the main character
― I dont even know that I think this sucks per se (forksclovetofu), Monday, 30 July 2012 04:23 (thirteen years ago)
I really enjoyed this, already want to watch it again. Walt stonewalling Mike on the vote was classic shit.
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 30 July 2012 04:23 (thirteen years ago)
lol walt was finally cooler than mike for one second
― lag∞n, Monday, 30 July 2012 04:25 (thirteen years ago)
i'm sure it's been stated already, but walt is a fucking asshole.. but he earned that apple bite.
― braunld (Lowell N. Behold'n), Monday, 30 July 2012 04:43 (thirteen years ago)
Enjoy this show so much that i am willing and ready to forgive and overlook it, but cooking in random fumigation houses seems like pretty much the most ridiculously bad idea possible. Surely mike or someone would at least try to veto.
― dsb, Monday, 30 July 2012 05:58 (thirteen years ago)
it would be kinda lame if they just got another basement
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 30 July 2012 06:10 (thirteen years ago)
would be cool if they did it on top of a skyscraper
― funny-skrillex-bee_132455836669.gif (s1ocki), Monday, 30 July 2012 06:11 (thirteen years ago)
in Hank and Marie's garage
― Matt Armstrong, Monday, 30 July 2012 06:16 (thirteen years ago)
The thing with jessie is he's finally found out that he's good at one or two things, so it's like his other judgement is shot because he just wants to keep doing something he can get satisfaction out of. So basically he's turned into a more competent gayle. And maybe ditto with walt, but it's not cooking anymore, just manipulating people for the high it gives him.
― s.clover, Monday, 30 July 2012 12:39 (thirteen years ago)
ep next week is directed by Rian Johnson. he also did the "fly" ep in s3

im not sure, it has some benefits, you cook in each location once, no time for the cops to get suspicious and sit up on yr location
― lag∞n, Monday, 30 July 2012 13:57 (thirteen years ago)
the real flaw in their plan is imho that the feds are all over mike
