Working this one up to performance level. It's incredibly hypnotizing to play.

Ugh. I miss piano so much. I played for 12 or 13 years, and then in the hectic beginnings of university didn't really have access to a piano and let it slip away. My pinky ring finger muscles have atrophied too much to be able to do anything impressive these days. And yeah, that Ravel is stunning.

the nice surprise is skinny dudes w/ awesome calves.

I didn't think those were your type!

Halfway there.
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:17 (thirteen years ago)
i wear short shorts a lot in the summer
it's just too damn hot
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:21 (thirteen years ago)
I don't have an exclusive type, Sotosyn.
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:21 (thirteen years ago)
I trimmed my leg hair this summer for the first time. It was just too out of control and I wanted to wear shorts without looking like albino Teen Wolf.

totally legit, one of those buzzers can rly change your life
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:32 (thirteen years ago)
I only do this w/ nosehair, and my occasionally sprouting shoulder cacti.

You know how they say hair continues to grow after you've died? I plan on cremation.
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:36 (thirteen years ago)
i hear you, i'm big on hair management. just makes such a difference!
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:37 (thirteen years ago)
no feeling like getting a haircut, shaving and grooming followed by a shower and maybe some time in the sun after
dang
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:42 (thirteen years ago)
i did a full body trim with the bf like a month ago or so. first time i ever manicured my legs/thighs/arms. took forever... bonding experience tho.
i need to do again soon.
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:42 (thirteen years ago)
wait - is trimming legs/thighs/arms a thing? should i be doing this?
― twinkin' and drinkin' and ready to fly (Alex in Montreal), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:44 (thirteen years ago)
is there a special sort of buzzer?
xxpost Like you did each other or both went to a place and had it done by professionals?
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:45 (thirteen years ago)
it depends, certain areas. you don't have to do it all! but targeting specific things can go a loooongg way
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:45 (thirteen years ago)
just one of those buzzers with the different settings. 3/4 are magic on most areas.
Agreed. The 3 or 4 setting on most cheap vidal sassoon-style clippers works just great.
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:46 (thirteen years ago)
UGH NO STOP EVERYONE STOP DONT TRIM A THING
― shmamille shmaglia (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:48 (thirteen years ago)
I'm with you (unless there's a special problem area)
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:50 (thirteen years ago)
Whatev, Stevie, you are naturally hairless. You don't know how hot this stuff gets in the summer.
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:53 (thirteen years ago)
i have a firm no-blades-below-the-neck policy

believe me, I do.

well blades definitely not, but that's totally different
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:55 (thirteen years ago)
my arms and legs are very hairy, i think they look better trimmed down a bit
i take almost all hair like head hair -- should be managed on a routine basis
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:55 (thirteen years ago)
yeah we just used an electric razor w/ adjustable settings. actual real razor shaving is really gross to me tho.
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:56 (thirteen years ago)
ewwwwwwww
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:56 (thirteen years ago)
Yeah. I mean, have you seen some people's body hair, razorphobes?
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 18:59 (thirteen years ago)
Also, I can think of no more prominent reason I would like to be in a relationship than to have a mutual grooming partner.
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:00 (thirteen years ago)
obv there is no one-size-fits-all answer, but I lean toward absolute minimum hair-grooming always.
I thought I would like to have a beard in my youth but then I found out you have to manage it! What's the point? So I always have 3-6-day stubble now.
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:04 (thirteen years ago)
well thankfully body hair doesn't grow back as fast as facial hair so it's less of a commitment
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:05 (thirteen years ago)
dust the hairy surface with baby powder to help the clippers glide over skin, prevents irritation & reduced scrapes & snags #protip #lifehacks #trustme

my beard's getting a smidge ginsberg-y again, but the clipper attachment on my trimmer's broken so i might just pony up for a pro trim
― moesha my reflection (donna rouge), Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:10 (thirteen years ago)
surm, did you say you own an Epilady? i bought one (i forget the brand, but not actually Epilady) and i'm pretty happy w/ it for managing my sparse, patchy, asymmetrical chest hair.
― Je55e, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:12 (thirteen years ago)
I can't imagine how much that would hurt.
― Eric H., Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:13 (thirteen years ago)
says the guy w/ a sleeve tattoo!
― Je55e, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:15 (thirteen years ago)
yup i have a epilator by Braun. it is really really good for certain things, sooo smoooooth. i've also had one of the most painful experiences in my life with it. live and learn!
― surm, Wednesday, 25 July 2012 19:15 (thirteen years ago)
anyway, it doesn't really hurt. it just feels like moderate abrasion.
