I'm really into the blowsy busty mom from the show Outrageous Fortune. I want to know her, I want to be her, I want to chain-smoke in every scene just like she does. I'm taking notes.

Man, what ever happened to her??? See also: that Helmut Newton blonde named I think Nadja or something? She was HUGE (literally and figuratively), and then she just. . . disappeared.

I was soooo into late-80s-to-mid-90s fashion for a minute there. Have you seen Altman's Pret A Porter or Unzipped or the Christy Turlington doc Catwalk?

Aesthetics of the original Experimental Jetset design require you to put the longest name on the bottom; that's what the ampersands are for after all.

Right but then Experimental Jetset went ahead and made this too

Oh have not seen either of those yet! Ballerina and First Position thus far.

quincie, Monday, 30 July 2012 16:05 (thirteen years ago)

I've seen Ballerina, thought it was uncomfortably approving and unquestioning and a strange take on the subject, but I'm hazy on the details now. The other one you mentioned looks GREAT, will watch ASAP!

two weeks pass...

There's a 3-mile Navy pier off the coast of Sandy Hook, NJ that was purpose-built for loading AMMUNITION ONTO NAVAL VESSELS. It has to be 3 miles long in case ammo detonates while loading!!! Rail cars carry the ammo across the country from the factories and all the way down the pier to the docks.

Am having crazy "inaccessible places" longings about it right now but apparently they do not fuck around with it being off-limits so I'm thinking that's a "No."

http://njscuba.net/zzz_sites/navy_pier_aerial.jpg

The way I found out about it was that my plane flew over it on Saturday and I had no idea where it was, it's just this ENORMOUS PIER with a weird trident-shaped end, just hanging out in a bay. I looked it up on gmaps and Jesus Christ, of course it's military.
