judge in canada who is currently being subjected to like potential de-judge-ing or whatever because she and her husband took some kinky naked photos and those somehow became public and now she is a disgrace to public office or whatever because kinky sex photos!

Good thing I never plan on being reputable.

Threesomes are a great idea in theory and they can be awesome but they can also go REALLY wrong and turn into two people having sex in a bed with someone else, which has not happened to me but has happened to people I know.
― shmamille shmaglia (Stevie D(eux)), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 04:53 (thirteen years ago)
Actually wait that is exactly what happened to me but I wasn't the someone else and the someone else was too much of a sex noob to notice/care
― shmamille shmaglia (Stevie D(eux)), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 04:54 (thirteen years ago)
meanwhile, Sally Ride's family says she was mum on her same-sex partner for 27 years bcz "we're Norwegian through and through."

Good on her.

freasy is free + easy, and it sounds like a frozen dessert. incubi was a polite and hopefully non-judgemental way of saying that in my experience NYC men are aggressive in their sexual pursuit.
― Ignite the seven canons (Ówen P.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 12:48 (thirteen years ago)
men of NYC - do you have a response?
― twinkin' and drinkin' and ready to fly (Alex in Montreal), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 12:52 (thirteen years ago)
xp I didn't know that was what Norwegian meant.

I"m not sure I could "do" a relationship any other way except elastically. The guy with whom I've had an intermittent sexual and emotional attachment the last five years – my ex actually – and with whom I'm still good friends got a jolt in April of last year when, after tentatively wondering if I wanted to give "it" another shot, I said I couldn't do this unless he accepted I had a wandering eye and curious cock.
― a regina spektor is haunting europe (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 13:32 (thirteen years ago)
I would only do a relationship if he promised to get off with someone else.
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 13:33 (thirteen years ago)
Ah the old "It's not you, it's my eye and cock"
― Ignite the seven canons (Ówen P.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 13:46 (thirteen years ago)
I prefer no definitions in that regard. Cheating be cheating, and it's not b/c of eye or cock in my case but usually drink and loneliness. Happily the situation resolves itself like: "oh btw I slept over with Keith" "cuuuuute"
― Ignite the seven canons (Ówen P.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 13:49 (thirteen years ago)
Also, xxxp how would any NYC gays respond to that? "Yeah I went to Toronto once and the dudes were totally lame-o". My generalization was meant in good spirit

I have no idea if NY men are still aggressive, I'm invisible and/or retired. (translation: goddamn you who are getting any)
Sally Ride's brother is named... Bear Ride.
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 14:09 (thirteen years ago)
Yes, NY men are still aggressive.
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 14:12 (thirteen years ago)
Bear Ride
― Ignite the seven canons (Ówen P.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 14:32 (thirteen years ago)
which I thought was a boat trip in Provincetown
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 14:35 (thirteen years ago)
My stomach can't handle bear rides anymore.
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 14:47 (thirteen years ago)
men of NYC are intermittently aggressive i'd say
― moesha my reflection (donna rouge), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 15:05 (thirteen years ago)

― moesha my reflection (donna rouge), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 15:06 (thirteen years ago)
I am intermittently aggressive depending on the cocktail you buy for me.
― a regina spektor is haunting europe (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 15:06 (thirteen years ago)
my apologies, Bear is Ride's SISTER.
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 15:11 (thirteen years ago)
Disappointing but that's gonna be my dog's name regardless
― Ignite the seven canons (Ówen P.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 15:33 (thirteen years ago)
i have been trying to be more forward; i can't say it's the worst strategy
but there's definitely a fine line btw forward and stupid

Can I be a bear?

Took an hour in Boystown this weekend and, tho I'm aware of how the regulars here feel about the place, it made me sort of wish that Mpls's gay bars were more centrally located.
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 15:44 (thirteen years ago)
Also, love that it's just a block or two away from straight douche-n-hooch-ville.
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 15:45 (thirteen years ago)
Boystown is not somewhere I want to spend much time, but there are some decent bars there. It's about as appealing as Wrigleyville (douche-n-hooch-ville) for me, except that Boystown has more dick available.
― Je55e, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:02 (thirteen years ago)
the world is full of contrast
― surm, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:04 (thirteen years ago)
How diverse are the Boystown bars? I always bitch abt Philly's Gayborhood (ALL the gay bars in the city in one tight cluster, self-ghettoization, people refusing to set foot outside of, etc) but mostly because all the bars are more or less the same. Or rather, there is no chill/cool/"alt" spot like NYC's Nowhere or Metropolitan or (RIP) Phoenix. There are like 6 twinky bars, 2 bearish/older dude bars, and a good Cheers-y happy hour place that is literally the only gay bar w draft beer.
― shmamille shmaglia (Stevie D(eux)), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:05 (thirteen years ago)
wait, the Phoenix closed? or transformed?
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:06 (thirteen years ago)
i was just at the Phoenix and i would not call it alt
― surm, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:07 (thirteen years ago)
it was like a fucking model explosion in there
― surm, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:08 (thirteen years ago)
and i had this very trippy moment when let's have a kiki was on and i looked around and everybody was mouthing the words with half-cocked smiles on their faces and it was really gay
― surm, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:09 (thirteen years ago)
Ewww.
― to welcome jer.fairall, pie is served. (jer.fairall), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:10 (thirteen years ago)
Oh I thought it closed! Did it move? I don't know. Anyway the few times I went there (once was w you, surm!) it seemed not totally Queer As Folky
Also I'm wrong, there are a few gay bars in Philly w/ draft beer (keyword: few) but its still surprising there's no hipstery gay bar.
― shmamille shmaglia (Stevie D(eux)), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:11 (thirteen years ago)
oh yeah we were at the phoenix! you know, i think we went on like a tuesday. i think their friday nights are particularly ... something
yeah i remember we were in the back room - i like that room. there was NO one in there on friday, everybody was out in the open and looking tall and sleek
― surm, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:15 (thirteen years ago)
How diverse are the Boystown bars?
As surm put it, basically a "fucking model explosion."
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:21 (thirteen years ago)
And, true to its name, I saw maybe one, maybe two people over the age of 40 there.
hah, morbs and i were also at that phoenix excursion iirc
― moesha my reflection (donna rouge), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:23 (thirteen years ago)
i was wearing a sweater!
― surm, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:26 (thirteen years ago)
Really "model explosion"? Maybe I'm understanding that as more exclusive and A-Listy than you mean. Or maybe I know how to avoid them.
The bars I've spent any time have been Bucks, North End, Lucky Horseshoe, Bobby Loves, The Cell Block, and Little Jim's, which were the only ones that stand out from the shinier Boystown thing, at which bars you see plenty of men over 40 (scenes, as listed: sort of bear-ish, sports, strippers, just-a-bar, leather, one of only a few 4:00/5:00 a.m. bars w/ a hint of dive).
The rest of Boystown is kind of homogenous from what I can tell.
― Je55e, Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:34 (thirteen years ago)
I thought surm meant "model explosion" as homogenous, tbh.
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:37 (thirteen years ago)
But, then again, I can be a little bit of a yawn boring Sidetrack kind of guy the rare occasions I decide to go out. So stone me.
― the new dire homonomoreboobsativity (Eric H.), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:38 (thirteen years ago)
I bailed on "the Phoenix excursion" after we left Julius'. Probably for some fucking movie.
Philly bar most suited for my demographic is called Uncles.
― Pangborn to be Wilde (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:39 (thirteen years ago)
