yeah i had a guy telling me once that gus was more 'moral' than walt, i guess some people will make up anything about a character if they find them sufficiently badass

Thinking back on waltavo sitting in Saul's office silently listening to his spiel or riding in the back of the car after escaping from the magnet ... he's not doing that slack-jawed open mouth thing anymore that he did when he was just going along with something.

that stupid, unfunny nazi zombies scene in season 4 always felt like internet pandering to me. probably the show's lowest moment

i dug gus' death scene. i appreciate flourishes like that + think they're appropriate for the tone & character of the show. BB does consistently impress me with how visually accomplished it is... TV-wise it's in pretty rare company in that respect

i think it's very much "too much time on the internet" to assume stuff like that is made so that i'll be turned into a gif

gus adjusting his tie like he usually did vs. gus walking to the door with half a face in full "the walking dead" zombie animated effects

Yes! It's not that BB does things so they can become internet memes. It's that BB is often stunning to look at so people make gifs out of the good parts.

Whenever I get depressed about S5 being basically two half seasons, I remember how much they packed into that first one.

before s4 started I went back and watched the last 2 eps of S3 and I was agog at how much plot was jammed into them, all these events I thought had happened over the course of the season were just BAM BAM BAM RUN BAM BAM BAM GALE

The Malcolm in the Middle thing is a big reason why I resisted watching BB for awhile. I hated that show.
