shitting on someone for merely dj-ing some mayoral event is pretty dickish and, uh, i don't know, maybe even out-of-touch.

i don't know where fauxmarc lives but some mayors are actually good people. maybe this one isn't tho, i don't know. anyway it's just a thing.

out of touch = i can choose what i approve and disapprove of, and if having a hard line about something is out of touch, then so be it.

Some of the responses have been so tardy I forget the posts that inspired them (i.e. fauxmarc vs. tabes).

eh whatever, i'm a hardlining asshole, and i know it. i still like you all, even fauxmarc and lex.

also i'm drunk, and because of the netflix thread, just watched the famous "coming out" episodes of Dawson's Creek. um. okay, just going to put it here:

those two episodes *made* me come out to my parents for the first (out of three) times, because i taped them when they originally went on air, spring of 99.
i taped that show every week, for the first three seasons.
(right? they knew i was a fag already, probably).
anyway, my mom didn't give much thought to it until she saw me watching these two episodes repeatedly, later that summer.
then this conversation happened that was longer, but was essentially the same as the one that Jack has with the dad in the second episode, with me being all, "ASK ME WELL I AM GAY FUCK YOU," and them being all "YOU'RE OUR ONLY CHILD YOU ARE NOT GAY YOU TERRIBLE BEAST WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM."
my mother erased those moments, dad never did, which explains his reactions to the second (and third-final) comings-out.

anyway. i've been having feelings recently. summer. i fucking hate summer.

i just went to my mom's wedding this weekend back home (well, not home, but back in ottawa, i guess) which was sweet but also strange and now i'm back home with the boy's cat and life is ok, i think? i dunno.
