Can I just point out that coming into Wimbledon, Lisicki was on a five-match losing streak and hadn't won a match since Charleston? I was SURE she was gonna lose her opener to Martic.

i was at the lisicki/martic match and left when martic was up like *4-3. lisicki was playing very very average tennis. i'm highly surprised at this. then again maria - whilst the talk has been about how average serena is playing - has been quietly unimpressive all tournament.
