He was in a sketch comedy show called Full Frontal, in which he did a few character parts that really weren't that funny. He then went on to get his own sketch show called Eric, which also wasn't that funny, and lasted about a month. He was also in the iconic low-budget Australian film The Castle.

Tell you what, on his recent Graham Norton remote appearance he very much came across as a man who'd had a more than cheeky amount of some powders which were very much not green, if you catch my drift.

― Western® with Bacon Flavor, Friday, 3 October 2025 03:40 (eight months ago)
I thought this was zany Ilxor tomfoolery, but he literally is:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucking_Fastard
It's about "British identical twin sisters Freda and Greta Chaplin, who gained notoriety in the 1980s for having a restraining order put on them by a man they both became involved with". They became obsessed with a truck driver called Ken Iveson, who doesn't look a lot like a Orlando Blöm, but Hollywood has access to computers:https://historicimages.com/cdn/shop/products/dfpa28135_600x.jpeg
It seems to be very loosely based on their story, just as Frank was loosely based on Frank Sidebottom. It appears they didn't always speak at the same time as each other:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T5_r0sINQQ
Ken Iveson is like the iceberg that hit the Titanic, in the sense that he was the trigger for an extraordinary series of events but then went on his way. The more I read about the twins the more I'm convinced that Britain in the relatively recent past was a foreign country... and yet in the news today there are not one, but two stories about people killing toddlers, so perhaps Britain has not changed.
