Hi. I'm going on tour all over America, or at least some of it.

Tickets are 45 dollars, every seat, every City. That includes all taxes and fees. You don't have to join anything and you don't have to hear from me again unless you want to. Just cheap tickets to see me do an all new bunch of jokes.

because of edinburgh, which even the big comics do, i think most non-us anglo comics write a show a year. there isn't that pressure/milestone for us comics afaict.

He played Bass Hall in Fort Worth last year (or, god, that might have been two years ago) - nosebleeds were $60ish and he sold that place out.

Got tix for his show in Baltimore on New Year's Eve. Early enough to not mess with any late night plans. Pretty stoked!

well. after 45 hours, my tour has sold 100K tickets, box office gross of 4.5 mil $ (not all mine). I guess it was a good idea.

Yeah I initially thought $45 was pretty steep for a comedy show before finding out that's actually really low-end for a guy who's reaching Dave Chapelle-like levels of popularity

holy fuck. he sold out every new york show! I was waiting till the evening to balance my schedule. My bad i guess.
i think it's likely he'll add a new york show though; i need to keep an eye out there.

btw, I thought the biggest reason that Pearl Jam and Radiohead and whomever were not able to circumvent Ticketmaster or promotors like Clear Channel was because both had deals with venues and they could lock out bands. So how did Louis CK get around that?

Like, is he going all church basement and VFW hall indie (or equivalent)?

i haven't seen any. what i saw of the s1 commentaries was great, though; he was eating & just sorta zoning in and out for some. he goes into the dane cook thing in some length in this, iirc (if it isn't that it's part one of the same thing), it's interesting
