Balotelli plays in the Premiership therefore he is obv. Italy's best player. Bit like when Freddie Ljungberg was the obv. the best player in a Swedish team that included Zlatan AND Henrik Larsson.

i think andy carroll's got the makings of a particularly effective centre forward in him.

1. Half the Italy team plays for Juve, who didn't even make it into the Europa. If most English journo knowledge comes from the CL (unless a team beats Utd in the Europa), it isn't exactly surprising they don't know these guys, even if it is frustrating.

2. With an Italian Chelsea manager and an exotic Italian team (see #1) knocking England out, the Daily Mail and the Sun are going to write soooooooo many shitty false transfer stories about Montilivo or whoever going to Chelsea.

his attitude isn't always great but that's more to do with his tendency to sulk if the rest of the team aren't exactly subservient to his needs

ljungberg wasn't even very good for more than a couple years tbrr, larsson was excellent in scotland and europe for years and years, and probably peaked before he ever retired to utd, so tbh sam that's actually shitetalk man

i mean ljungberg barely makes top 20 gooner players in the 00's tbpfh
