Mexès Coleslaw Massacre (Noodle Vague), Monday, 18 June 2012 13:26 (fourteen years ago)

Italy to beat Ireland 3-0, Spain to draw 2-2 with Croatia (two goals coming in the last five minutes).

Totally committed to the Corrs (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Monday, 18 June 2012 15:32 (fourteen years ago)

Anyway.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:38 (fourteen years ago)

which game should I watch?

EZ Snappin, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:40 (fourteen years ago)

Right now I'm watching Spain-Croatia.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:40 (fourteen years ago)

HRAVSTKA

dis civilization and its contents (nakhchivan), Monday, 18 June 2012 18:40 (fourteen years ago)

that was my pick too. Just because Spain can be sublime.

xpost

EZ Snappin, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:41 (fourteen years ago)

Spain-Croatia because there's elimination definitely at stake there, unless there isn't in which case switch over for the laughs.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:42 (fourteen years ago)

Del Bosque just described as 'avuncular.' Um.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:46 (fourteen years ago)

croatia to win, italy draw for maximum lols

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:46 (fourteen years ago)

italy to lose

dis civilization and its contents (nakhchivan), Monday, 18 June 2012 18:47 (fourteen years ago)

don't think spain 2012 will be able to crank out the 1-0's like spain 2010

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 18:51 (fourteen years ago)

italy have been v v underwhelming so far. no balotelli - as good as di natale is in the 6 yard box, he doesn't exactly add any creativity. more of a trad back 4 too, which is rubb considering they are playing a p inneffective attacking team.

Smothered, Covered and Chunked!!! (a hoy hoy), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:04 (fourteen years ago)

DON'T FUCKING KICK IT OUT UNLESS THE REF TELLS YOU TO

Number None, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:04 (fourteen years ago)

how hard is that? seriously

Number None, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:05 (fourteen years ago)

ha i was just going to say how great closeups of xavis raptor eyes at fks are

he is just an incredible player, tempted to say the best general football intelligence i have ever seen (assuming there is such a thing and noting that messi and iniesta have sharper instincts in the final quarter of the pitch)

dis civilization and its contents (nakhchivan), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:09 (fourteen years ago)

Spain could do with Cesc on so that they have someone other than just Nando prepared to get in the box imo.

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:10 (fourteen years ago)

Great break for Ireland but how the hell can mcgeady make that mistake?

Ismael Klata, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:11 (fourteen years ago)

is that a trick question?

Number None, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:11 (fourteen years ago)

Ireland looking more game than usual.

Temporarily Famous In The Czech Republic (ShariVari), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:11 (fourteen years ago)

pen surely

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:13 (fourteen years ago)

maybe not

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:13 (fourteen years ago)

Ramos is a fucker.

EZ Snappin, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:14 (fourteen years ago)

was it pique who went diving in at the halfway line to cause that?

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:15 (fourteen years ago)

he is just an incredible player, tempted to say the best general football intelligence i have ever seen (assuming there is such a thing and noting that messi and iniesta have sharper instincts in the final quarter of the pitch)

is it me or is it a kinda new thing to laud players on how intelligent their play is? xavi, schweini, iniesta, pirlo, modric etc. are most probably better regarded than robben, ribery, rooney, maybe even the whole real attack despite these players being more 'exciting'.

Smothered, Covered and Chunked!!! (a hoy hoy), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:20 (fourteen years ago)

close from di natale

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:21 (fourteen years ago)

nice while it lasted

Number None, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:21 (fourteen years ago)

italy score

caek, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:21 (fourteen years ago)

In?

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:22 (fourteen years ago)

Yes. Given is fucked

Number None, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:22 (fourteen years ago)

yup

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:22 (fourteen years ago)

who scored? i turned over to bbc1

Smothered, Covered and Chunked!!! (a hoy hoy), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:23 (fourteen years ago)

What happened there? Couldn't tell on the other channel.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:23 (fourteen years ago)

cassano header

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:24 (fourteen years ago)

In off Given? In off the bar?

Ismael Klata, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:25 (fourteen years ago)

Given conceded the corner with a fumble from a routine shot then flailed uselessly at the header for the goal

Number None, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:26 (fourteen years ago)

No shit fucking Mick McCarthy he has given a yellow for making a dude bleed, regardless of how soft the foul initially looked. If you look at a tackle and think its fine and then notice that someone's been shawx, you don't have to go with your initial instincts.

Smothered, Covered and Chunked!!! (a hoy hoy), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:27 (fourteen years ago)

in off given then cleared from over the line onto the bar i think

pandemic, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:29 (fourteen years ago)

is it me or is it a kinda new thing to laud players on how intelligent their play is?

ha, they've been doing this since Teddy Sheringham at least

Zaireeka Badu (NickB), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:30 (fourteen years ago)

oh sure but now it seems like an important 'thing' that seems to be evaluated all throughout football and not just with one or two barren examples

Smothered, Covered and Chunked!!! (a hoy hoy), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:33 (fourteen years ago)

I think in less enlightened times it was a concession that what Sheringham was doing was still football. There are more players with games not purely based around heads-down running nowadays.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:37 (fourteen years ago)

Your search - fuckyeahgordonschildenfeld tumblr - did not match any documents.

Is there a secret stream for this? My work computer won't let me see ESPN3.

that is a sort of counterintuitive bias that you will find in a lot of football writing that favours players who run games over those that decide them

the worst example of this i've seen is ppl averring that alonso is more important to madrid than ronaldo

dis civilization and its contents (nakhchivan), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:42 (fourteen years ago)

That demonic trailer for Rooney a minute ago - did they get him all dressed up & posing for about five seconds of film, or is it all cgi or what? How do footballers' schedules work?

Ismael Klata, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:45 (fourteen years ago)

FTW: Would it be too clichéd to suggest that you played as a False number nine when you played?

MC: Actually I was generally used as a right midfielder. I would have preferred to have been a central midfielder but I was never as physical as some players. In fact I think one of the reasons I love Michael Carrick is that if my ability was anywhere near that level, that’s the type of player I’d have been. He’s not the most physical but he reads the game so well. Unfortunately, I was normally shunted out to the right instead.

dis civilization and its contents (nakhchivan), Monday, 18 June 2012 19:46 (fourteen years ago)

this could end up working out nicely for England

Number None, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:46 (fourteen years ago)

the angle makes Moyes look like he should be signing this

Ismael Klata, Monday, 18 June 2012 19:47 (fourteen years ago)

fuck hansen et al apologizing for shay given

he has been fucking dogshit this tournament, ireland might even have had a chance of not being a total embarassment if he didn't concede retarded goals at the beginning of every half
