xp: I like the ambiguity tbh; usually Dani is all "omg MAGIC" and everyone else in the scene is practically rolling their eyes going "argh jeez, just ignore him and he'll go away"

i don't think the warlocks figured that the dragons were that powerful that little (even Dany could just barely get them to shoot a little bit of fire earlier in the season). That said, their "y'all gonna be here for eternity lolz" plan did seem pretty flawed as one imagines the dragons would grow.

oop, i stand corrected. now that you mention it, i remember that line very clearly. anyway, point is that the warlock dude does have real magical abilities, though yeah, they may have seemed trivial w/out dani and her dragons around to amp the magic up.

they had a GoT exhibit at the Tiff building by my office. you could sit in the iron throne and they'd take a few pics and send you on your way with a contact sheet and a DVD of the first episode. not bad for a free dealy!

This might not be common knowledge in the US but the dude who plays Theon is Lily Allen's brother (and Keith Allen's son obviously), he's basically a professional feckless tabloid twat. I quite like watching him as Theon because you know that only unpleasant things are going to happen to him.

so I was going to respond to the torrent and stream suggestions with a sactimonious response about how I don't want to watch this through non-legit means and want to wait for the HD glory of blu-ray, but then I thought "what the hell" and started checking out the streams.

I watched the first 3 episodes of season two and they are great! Clash of Kings is my favorite of the books so I think I'm really going to enjoy this.

So far the major changes (Mel and Stannis doin' it, Renly's love troubles, various other little details) haven't struck me as nearly egregious as the annoying new scenes from season 1. I hope this continues for the rest of the eps.
