yeah I doubt it too. Chaugh using her to get back at Draper seems inevitable.

c'mon, there would totally be a shit ton of press if elizabeth moss left the show

"disappear" a bit strong. but like yeah, i could see her being a lot less prominent.
― zverotic discourse (jim in glasgow), Tuesday, 29 May 2012 20:22 (twelve years ago) link
what if the character of peggy disappeared from the show, but "peggy" appeared as a sort of glowing floating little angel that sat on don's shoulder and gave him guidance in times of crisis?
that way, elisabeth moss would still be on the show, and there wouldn't be any press about it.
― A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Tuesday, 29 May 2012 20:26 (twelve years ago) link
would need to be paired with a "bad" peggy

that can be Sal!

this kind of sucks b/c interactions b/t don and peggy were a highlight of this show. but you know.

I don't feel that Peggy was as instrumental in this season, so her character being reduced in prominence would make sense.
Time for Ginsburg to shine!
― homosexual II, Tuesday, 29 May 2012 20:40 (twelve years ago) link
chaough said that his hire of peggy was as much about getting the dirt on don as her work itself. if she left to 'get away' from don, there's plenty of disappointment to play around with there.

also isnt' that guy who hired her the dorky friend from Adventures in Babysitting? I'm too lazy to google atm

Can't believe anyone thinks this is the end for Peggy - Don won't be able to cope without her, she's saved them too many times, can sort of see the non-Jaguar accounts falling apart without her. No guarantee she'll like her new job, the chances of Don hiring her back for a load more money are pretty high.
Amazing episode, the Joan plotline was horrible but brilliantly done. Worth remembering that Pete basically played the other partners by making out that Joan was even considering it. Cooper wasn't as outright terrible as the others but it's going to be difficult to redeem Roger and Lane from here, but really none of them other than Don come out with any credit.
I guess Joan as partner will want to know everything about the financial side of the firm, which is bad news for Lane.

eh I don't think this is going to happen either. no one goes back to old employers. at least, no one with any sense does.

Keep in mind that this is a writer blogged about *crying* because her landlord wanted her to move the couch away from the wall to fix something in her apartment. I find her writing a bit unhinged at times.

folx can we please talk about what might happen in terms of what kind of possibilities the writers have opened up for themselves based on what they've shown so far, not in terms of what people are totally probably gonna do in those circumstances
you are driving me fucking crazy

I think Don leaving SCDP is actually a real possibility now and to be honest who knows where the show goes then and how these people interact.

usually you dont add a radical plot pt like that just to undo it in the next ep (xp talking about peggy leaving)

I'm scared of Ginsberg coming into prominence. He's got this dark spiteful streak, like he could easily become unhinged. I don't see him gaining the confidence of the partners. On the other hand, he may represent mass culture's movement toward more mean spirited, self aware, or absurd content. His mock-ups had that Mad Magazine vibe.

Compared to Pete Campbell I think he's incredibly well-adjusted actually.

my manager (lol) had a good point about peggy leaving: the network politics of this season were about cutting characters and reducing the size of the show (adios kinsey). are we really going to have a whole other office in the next season?
