I go by Tre, Italian for three, since I'm one of those III people.

Sometime in the 80s, Dad started writing my name out as Tré on birthday cards and stuff. Tre's weird enough as it is (it's pretty much akin to being called Junior Jr.), but I don't need an apostrophe to mess up my initials on videogames or having question marks appear in web directories.

If I had just been named Grady, things could have been so different.

My mom told me when I was younger that she only wanted two kids, with at least one girl. But since her first two kids were boys, she decided to try again with a third kid who would be Lisa. But alas her third kid was a boy too, so I became Lee. I heard that story several times when growing up, but she has since recanted it.
