r|t|c, Saturday, 19 May 2012 10:28 (fourteen years ago)

not that that shameless bitch owen "decisions have cost us" coyle could remember that far back of course

r|t|c, Saturday, 19 May 2012 10:30 (fourteen years ago)

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 10:34 (fourteen years ago)

ay i gave it a week's grace, lets have some credit

r|t|c, Saturday, 19 May 2012 10:38 (fourteen years ago)

swygart give us the lowdown on saints' to-do list this summer please

r|t|c, Saturday, 19 May 2012 10:42 (fourteen years ago)

xpoat Sadly, Clint's "goal" came from a corner that should never have been given. I find it hard to get worked up about that one.

Manfred Mann meets Man Parrish (ithappens), Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:08 (fourteen years ago)

Ooh, lessee... well, we released Bialkowski today so we need another keeper to give Kelvin competition at the very least (we'd still have needed that even if we'd kept Bialkowski, tho). Not convinced about our full-backs. Another centre-back would be good. Possibly one more striker, though our current options are probably about as good as Norwich's were last season. In fact, yeah, we're probably looking about as good as Norwich did last year. And Adkins has been very solid in the transfer market thus far. We'll probably be in the relegation scrap, but I think a few decent purchases should see us safe.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:32 (fourteen years ago)

Oh, and Solskjaer's officially not interested in the Villa job anymore.

Tony Mowbray's fifth favourite for the West Brom job. Suspect that's not a value bet, that.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:36 (fourteen years ago)

all these motherfuckers itt moaning as if the refereeing scandal of the year wasn't stoke/spurs

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:42 (fourteen years ago)

stoke are a continuing refereeing scandal

navihchkan (nakhchivan), Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:45 (fourteen years ago)

tbh referees are half congenital authoritarians half pussyholes who respond to the nuremberg ambience of the crowd, the spartan ethic of the team and the sergeant major exhortations of pulis by just ambling around in awe and doing nothing

navihchkan (nakhchivan), Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:48 (fourteen years ago)

Andy Carroll, cup final

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 12:49 (fourteen years ago)

saints badly need some pace in the squad imo. i guess de ridder's quick but that's all he is, and apart from him i think tadanari lee is our only player who can actually, you know, run past people. also think next season might be tougher for the promoted teams cos some real dross has left the prem this year, but yeah a couple of good signings and i think we'll do ok.

jabba hands, Saturday, 19 May 2012 13:05 (fourteen years ago)

There'll be new dross in the Prem though, don't like the chances of survival for West Brom without Hodgson and Wigan with or without Martinez. Then there's Villa...

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:18 (fourteen years ago)

and whoever wins today

navihchkan (nakhchivan), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:26 (fourteen years ago)

1523: Yep, West Ham are starting to get the ball into the Blackpool box, this time another cross from the left finding Carlton Cole about eight yards out. He gets his head on it, but cannot keep his effort down and it loops high over the bar.

navihchkan (nakhchivan), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:27 (fourteen years ago)

villa wont be as bad agaib, norwich swansea wba might struggle to be as good again, don't fancy fulham under jol tbph

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:29 (fourteen years ago)

dont fancy fulhams best ever side with their best ever manager?

navihchkan (nakhchivan), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:31 (fourteen years ago)

The good thing about Chelsea making the final is that the playoff final has been totally eclipsed. The 'richest prize in sport' hype that that game usually gets is possibly my #1 hate in all sport (not including various things to do with rugby)

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:33 (fourteen years ago)

otm increased expectation will lead to a bottleneck imo

pet tommy & the barkhaters (darraghmac), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:34 (fourteen years ago)

stoke's time will come next season, i'm calling it

r|t|c, Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:36 (fourteen years ago)

Yes, with Bolton and Blackburn gone there's plenty room for a midtable perennial to have a 'mare (insert Tottenham joke here. Tottenham.)

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:40 (fourteen years ago)

Sunderland sack MON in Jan, new manager makes an ever bigger hash of it, get relegated last day of the season.

give me back my 200 dollars (NotEnough), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:42 (fourteen years ago)

Stoke and Villa were both bottom three for the second half of the season.

Wigan were seventh!

Djibril Citté (onimo), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:42 (fourteen years ago)

the stoke demise is going to be nasty, a lot forcible sodomy and phil collins in the dressing room, possibly even an attempt to roid up the goons for a final survival push followed by a fullscale pogrom in stoke with lots of ppl with no teeth attacking foreigns and fifth columnists

navihchkan (nakhchivan), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:47 (fourteen years ago)

a table for the last ten games has wigan one point off the top.

the tactics of a stoke in decline will be something to behold.

Merdeyeux, Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:53 (fourteen years ago)

sentences Tony Pulis will never say

"this reliance on Biggery isn't working out, let's get the ball down and pass it and stop killing our fellow professionals."

Djibril Citté (onimo), Saturday, 19 May 2012 14:56 (fourteen years ago)

Man City have hunted down the kid who nabbed the ball during the pitch invasion last week, and made him give it back. Seems wrong somehow, my understanding was that everything down to the players' underpants was fair booty in such circumstances.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 15:05 (fourteen years ago)

baby guvnor pegs big sam back with a beaut

Ajax captain Jan Vertonghen has now revealed that he is still entertaining thoughts of joining Milan, having been lavished with praise by Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani during the group stages of the 2010-11 Champions League.

"I was struck by his words of appreciation after the game," the 25-year-old center back is quoted as saying by MilanNews.it. "His words made me blush.

"I like the Premier League, but if Milan call you, you cannot say no."

lol, module delivered on both threads

jabba hands, Saturday, 19 May 2012 15:58 (fourteen years ago)

xost Stoke get away with things because referees look at the first minute of a game and think: "Jesus. If I blow for everything we're not going to get any football between the free kicks." So they don't blow. They allow Stoke to dictate what the rules of the game are to be. Wimbledon did the same thing. And it's not just at the Britannia - it's on the road too.

Manfred Mann meets Man Parrish (ithappens), Saturday, 19 May 2012 15:59 (fourteen years ago)

aye you see that a lot with early fouls. Today in the Scottish Cup Final there was a blatant elbow by a Hearts player that was 70/30 yellow/red imo and it went unpunished - pundits were saying the ref didn't want to book anyone too early because he wanted to keep a lid on the game o_O

Djibril Citté (onimo), Saturday, 19 May 2012 16:01 (fourteen years ago)

idk, if stoke players were already getting booked for persistent tactical fouling by about 15 mins, you might actually see some football

Serov devochka s persikami (nakhchivan), Saturday, 19 May 2012 16:10 (fourteen years ago)

The decapitation-at-the-thighs by Vinnie Jones on Steve McMahon in the first minute or two of the 1988 FA Cup Final is an astounding example of the genre

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 16:17 (fourteen years ago)

Didn't work so well for Gazza in 91, but then Spurs did win the cup so who's to say tbh

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 16:20 (fourteen years ago)

Then booked a Hibs player a few mins later (not to mention the dodgy penalty)

it looks like something rupert the bear would wear (Algerian Goalkeeper), Saturday, 19 May 2012 17:15 (fourteen years ago)

Stoke 9/2

Djibril Citté (onimo), Saturday, 19 May 2012 17:47 (fourteen years ago)

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 17:50 (fourteen years ago)

Djibril Citté (onimo), Saturday, 19 May 2012 17:50 (fourteen years ago)

Djibril Citté (onimo), Saturday, 19 May 2012 17:50 (fourteen years ago)

Grant holt

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 19 May 2012 17:51 (fourteen years ago)

Holt is even money to join Sunderland.

Those odds are for Joseph Anthony "Joey" Barton.

Djibril Citté (onimo), Saturday, 19 May 2012 17:52 (fourteen years ago)

If QPR are really paying him 90k a week, he'll be going nowhere
