Manny's pretty bullshit these days anyway but if you read Ryan Songalia in re: the paper that "broke" that Pacquiao story, it's pretty shady

I'm not gonna get up in arms about him opposing gay marriage considering how many of the greatest boxers and how many of my favorite boxers were basically sociopaths.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 19 May 2012 01:53 (fourteen years ago)

David Price looked terrific vs. Sexton, hard to argue he's not the top heavyweight prospect.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 20 May 2012 02:21 (fourteen years ago)

fantastic atmosphere in Nottingham.

Bute's legs look dodgy.

All over. What a performance by Froch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it looks like something rupert the bear would wear (Algerian Goalkeeper), Saturday, 26 May 2012 23:37 (fourteen years ago)

He's given Bute a real doing here.

it looks like something rupert the bear would wear (Algerian Goalkeeper), Saturday, 26 May 2012 23:38 (fourteen years ago)

if you get the chance to watch this then please do so. What a performance by Froch. As good as i've seen in britain in years. it surpassed the atmosphere!

I missed this, wasn't being shown where I'm at but BadLeftHook's account of it suggests it was a master class by Froch

cosi fan whitford (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 27 May 2012 01:52 (fourteen years ago)

it was. He was devastating.

After his impressive battering of Bute, he said: 'Fighting like that, I'd beat anybody in my weight division. There's nobody that can touch me. If I catch Ward on the chin with some of the shots like I landed on Bute, it's game over. It's a simple as that.

'Andre Ward had a good night and Carl Froch had a bad night and that's the reason he won that fight.

Éden Éden Éden / H.A.Z.A.R.D (nakhchivan), Sunday, 27 May 2012 22:50 (fourteen years ago)

apart from the weird third person, i didn't see that at all, ward just looked a lot better

Éden Éden Éden / H.A.Z.A.R.D (nakhchivan), Sunday, 27 May 2012 22:51 (fourteen years ago)

he did but anyone can have an offnight. Plus Froch says he didn't stick to his plan.

it looks like something rupert the bear would wear (Algerian Goalkeeper), Sunday, 27 May 2012 22:58 (fourteen years ago)

Bute took such a beating id expect him to retire as i dont think a fighter can recover from such a hiding. The referee couldve stopped it earlier.

Paul "The Punisher" Williams, on the comeback trail after that very memorable KO by Sergio Martinez, was in a motorcycle accident today and is likely paralyzed from the waist down. He is said to be in good spirits considering the gravity of his injuries; obviously he won't be fighting Alvarez in September. He gets surgery on Wednesday, let's think good thoughts for that.

"Something like this is so outlandish, it's a death knell for the sport. This is f------ nuts. I have both guys, and I'll make a lot of money in the rematch, but it's ridiculous. You have these old f---- who don't know what the hell they're looking at. It's incompetence. Nobody who knows anything about boxing could have Bradley ahead in the fight."

two weeks pass...

Amir Khan vs. Danny Garcia tonight. Amir Khan seems like a really fucking unpleasant person to me, his press conference post-Peterson was just ugggghhhh, but he'll probably win.

perry en concrète (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Saturday, 14 July 2012 14:58 (thirteen years ago)

i sort of like him

he's def a toerag tho....record of dangerous driving convictions

nakhchivan, Saturday, 14 July 2012 15:01 (thirteen years ago)

He's a chinny sore losing fuck but is great to watch.

Missing Haye vs Chisora tonight - was hoping one would have just decked the other at the weigh in tbh. Damming indictment of the heavyweights that one of these clowns might get another title shot.

perry en concrète (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 15 July 2012 03:26 (thirteen years ago)

Khan dirtier in round 2 but still dominant. 20-18 Khan according to me so far

perry en concrète (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 15 July 2012 03:30 (thirteen years ago)

AMAZING surprise 3rd round knockdown by Garcia!! he was getting his hat handed to him and then put Khan on his ass!!!

standing knockdown at top of round 4. Khan's in trouble

perry en concrète (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 15 July 2012 03:35 (thirteen years ago)

Khan showed incredible heart for the rest of that round but got knocked down again and couldn't answer Bayliss satisfactorily on the "are you OK?" fucking brilliant performance by Garcia against Khan who looked in the 1st round like he was going to take out Garcia by the middle of the fight at the latest

perry en concrète (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Sunday, 15 July 2012 03:38 (thirteen years ago)

hope no one was hurt by the flying glass

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 15 July 2012 03:39 (thirteen years ago)

seriously wish this tendency of interviewers at matches & super bowls & world series post-games to ask "how do you feel right now?" would end, or that athletes would say "I feel terrible...so much death in the world" or something. "How do you feel right now?" fuckin ugh
